Should I Get A "Unlimited Acsess" Membership?
 

Thread title says it all.
Questions I have for "Unlimited Acsess"...
Do the ad's go away?
Is it less laggy?
Just wondering.....not sure if this was answered.

There are ads in the first place? 0-0 hmmm, well... yes I suppose they do! And I'm pretty sure its still laggy, at least from what I've experienced...

- the ads go bye bye lol
- u can get an extra 4 weapons (doll, dagger, nades, staff)
- u can get your weapons to 25 as apposed to 7
- u can complete the black pearl quest
- u can upgrade your ships
- u can start a guild
- u can buy clothes, hair, tattos, and jewlery

All the reasons in the post above are excellent ones for going Unlimited. As for the lag, I'm afraid that may still be there. Although you may find that there is less lag due to no ads having to load, I don't know.

The lag is the same on my son's computer on Unlimited as it was when I was a Basic beta member. We are on a wireless internet connection on that one, so I'm betting that has a lot to do with it, as the computer has pretty good specs to it.

Our downstairs computer has very little lag, if any. The internet connection is wired here. The computer has better specs than the upstairs computer, but I still think that the wired vs. wireless connection has the most to do with the lag.

You can also play full screen as opposed to windowed.

And you get the teleport quests.

And you get more exp for each mob you kill. That "XX Lost" you see is experience that you would have gotten if you had a full account.

But the "weapons to 25 instead of 7" is the really big reason. When you hit level 7 on any weapon, YOU STOP GAINING EXP FOR THAT WEAPON.

So you hit level 7 at sailing. The next ship you sink with broadsides alone, you see a big "+0 Rep" floating over it. You hit level 7 cutlass. The next mob you kill, you see the same "+0 Rep".

You can try to get all of them to level 7, and if you do, you may get your main notoriety up to level 13 or 14, but after that, you stop advancing.

I play solely on a wireless and typically do not receive lag. I say typically because once in a while there is lag just like wired computers will have. I do play only on quiet servers. :)

Yeah, I do play only on quiet servers when playing on my son's computer(which is only on the weekends, so I keep server hopping as the quiet ones fill up! lol).

Maybe I do need to upgrade. Although, it doesn't seem to bother my son. I notice it, though.

Our specs on that one are plenty good enough for PotC. But maybe we should upgrade the video card or something...

I probably will get one....when I can pay for it. Lol.

Get it if you have no access to the Test Server.
