A rare golden goodie.
*Sniff sniff*
Hmm, smells like POTCO's giving away otherwise-unobtainable items - again - while more than half of the POTCO population is gone.
Why, POTCO, why...

lol cuz it works apparently.

I honestly have no trouble finding rare and fame. So what if I don't find a Legendary, I've found greater treasure: friends who still love playing the game.

Truer words were never spoken! That's the reason I still play!:pirate_8:

I do agree wholeheartedly, but famed/legendary weapons and looting in general is not what bugs me, but rather the fact that Disney chooses to do an event such as this, where an otherwise-unobtainable weapon is given out, at the same time that the game itself has become fairly close to completely desolate.

Hmm, has anybody gotten something from these GMs? I wish to see a screenshot of this "new special treat this year;" that "rare golden goodie that no Pirate has ever seen;" that we'd be lucky enough to get if we caught up with the GMs.

I'm sorry. I just feel very doubtful that this would all be worth it. I just feel as though it's all just a desperate attempt to get players to come back to the game.

I see your point. Less people are actually playing the game these days. A sizable chunk of them used Game Cards. Since those are no longer around, they got bored being Basic and are doing something else with their time. So be it.

Would I see it as a desperate attempt on POTCO's part to lure them in? No. Its just for marketing purposes aimed at young kids. No different than taking a lollipop from the dentist.

I tried that event today but was pressed for time. Had some real life stuff to do. While taking care of those things, I decided it wasn't worth going to see Shamus and Sooty. I don't need the gold. The surprise goodie isn't worth it because all it will do is take up precious Inventory space. And I certainly did not want to spend my time server hopping and when I find any one of them, tolerate the lag for something I might not get anyway which honestly I don't need.

It's just meant to be a fun event for very young kids.

Perhaps not a desperate attempt. I see your point.

Regardless, I'll try to find them tomorrow, just because. I am quite curious as to what this golden goodie is...

The only GM I found was Old Sooty, who gave a pair of golden knuckles! They are at least something, but what's really funny is that when you put them on, you can't even see them on your hand! He also gave a code for gold, not sure how much because I was full. Just another joke from POTCO to try and keep people happy.

Old Sooty made an appearence today on Antik Server - Rumrunners Isle, when he left there he went to tortuga. Now he gave out a rare golden Knuckle worth 150 doublons.
