unable to play potco on my laptop

I have a new panasonic CF-52 Toughbook laptop. I downloaded POTCOand installed. When I click on the executable, a window pops up and asks for my username and password. I enter the information, the window minimizes and after a few seconds, and microsoft error box pops up with options of send/dont send. I exit out of that and my login window pops back up along with a browser window for POTCO bug posts. I have sent this bug report several times with no avail. I have also tried to logon with it at work, but it still will not work. I have a regualr PC at work and it logs on fine. here are the specs for my laptop.

GenuineWindows® XP Professional SP2
Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T7100 1.8 Ghz
1GB SDRAM (DDR2) standard
80GB hard drive
15.4" 1280 x 800 (WXGA) TFT active matrix color LCD
Intel® GMA x3100 graphic controller

Any help will be appreciated

i would have to say RAM might contribute to this but it also may not

have ye tried un-installing it and re-installing it?

Does this laptop have on-board video? That could be part of the problem here.

These Panasonic Toughbooks seem to be a PITA. Two friends of mine have CF 29 toughbooks in their patrol cars (as do all the patrol cars), and they have nothing but problems with them. Half the time they wont even run the police software used to run checks and whatnot!

You may try searching Intel's site to see if there are any updated drivers for your graphics controller, may be something in the game your controller doesn't like. 1 GB of ram should be enough, that's what I have in my desktop.

May try posting the log info here, someone may be able to spot something in them.

try this. Go to your video setting by right clicking on the mouse any where on your screen and click on properties , then settings, then advance, top tab of accelerator driver, then graphics properties, then you should see a 3D settings, click on it, you will then see attribute/valve.... turn on Force FXT1 Texture compression.

this may help for a laptop. i have a HP 6910p with 2 gigs of ram and a intel duo centrino

try this at your own risk. it should not do anything to your laptop but make pirates work. keep the pirates code matey

if it does you did something else wrong. Goooooooood luck matey.

If you haven't already, I'd start by making sure all of your drivers have been updated.

You're the second person I've heard of with this issue, now. Both cases have been using a laptop. It seems to me there may be an issue with POTCO & onboard video. What, though, I'm not sure. :|
