I mastered the doll! :D I left all my other weapons in the dust so now Im training them lol, I can't wait till the staff! Just thought I'd share my excitement :sttongue:

CONGRATS..... but be careful, the higher overall level you are the harder you will find it to level your other skills that are low level.

Congrats and I'm sorry. Havin the doll mastered sux. Angel did it early and regreted it. Now when I go to heal someone to train I get no reps. :(

im glad i mastered mine early, i hated using it :)

not bashing it, its a good weapon, just not my style of play is all..so it felt like a chore just running till im dizzy when i just wanted to go over there and hit them. im sure generations of crabs on rumrunner still have nightmares about me :)

I got my doll only yesterday but i like it. The only problem is attuning it. Thats all. I can't wait for unlimited access so i can get a staff!

Perhaps we can help. What problem do you have attuning it?

The primary doll skill controls how many targets can be attuned at any given time.
1 point, 1 target.
2 points, 2 targets etc

To attune you must run up to the target, and using your "attack" key, "attack" the target, thereby 'attuning' the doll to it. If you have more skill points assigned to the primary skill than you have targets attuned, you can repeat the process attuning additional targets (up to the number of skill points assigned the primary doll skill). If you attune more targets than your able, it will attune the new target, but UNattune the oldest target selected.

Attack spells attack only enemies.
Heal spells only heal other pirates.

If more than one target is attuned the "strength" of the spell, wether it is an attack, or heal spell is divided amongst the number of attuned targets.

How does it feel to have it mastered?!

I love my doll..

I've mastered it on two pirates already.. Working on my 3rd avi's doll now..

I set my 2nd one up better as I knew what skills I wanted to continue using once it was mastered.. and the 3rd one is going to be even better at hers..


Here's how my skills are used on both..

1st Avatar [Sassy]

Life Drain = 2

My suggestions:

First thing you need to decide.. Do you want to heal yourself and others or kill things with your doll once you have it mastered.

If you want to use it to kill, dont bother with heal and cure.. But dont expect much help back, since you cant give it..
If you want to use it to heal, dont bother with curse, scorch, or grave shackles..

Attune AT LEAST 2..

Fill Focus.. That gives you MORE voodoo..

Fill Life Drain.. That can HEAL YOU!!!

my personal preference is to have a well rounded doll (somehow that just doesn't sound right). i want to do damage and heal (sorry can't remember my build right now).

but re: grave shackles...i kinda think they are a must...at least one skill point on them.

mlratto, i can show you how my mastered dolls dont need the kill skills to heal and cure.. and revive me, yet take down a formidable enemy..

remember, my doll's mastered, so i get NO reps, and i can heal myself and others with my doll, since i set it up for just that, not killing..

Why are you gonna lvl you weapons in the dust? I guess its cool to have them mastered but I love the voodoo doll! I don't like the sword at all. Just attune and run around in circles killing people, I love it... :psmiley35:

and on a more serious note, I don't see the benefit of Focus at all. At 8 vodoo points per skill point used it doesn't seem worth the cost. It's not like you can cast anything with that few points. Maxed is a total of 40 points which still seems kind of puny. Especially when you get the staff and start leveling that-the vodoo builds up faster. Also the passive skills are great (use less vodoo and regenerate faster).

Works for me, didnt like that Witch one too much either, thats why I traded it in for a full on "Pirate" action figure, with sweepin sword, and special pockets to hold all sorts of ammo.
