The Pirates of the Caribbean Project
 

Ahoy there, pirates!

This July, as a break from the traditional trip to Disney World, I am getting the great honor of being able to travel to the place that many of us dwell in nearly every day in our own imaginations - the blue waters of the Caribbean!

I am going to be going on a cruise (which my family and I have agreed upon will be referred to as the "Victory Shark" regardless of the ship's actual name,) to the Caribbean for a span of a little over one week, in which time I will be able to spend a few days exploring the various islands of the Caribbean, including many of the islands and ports that pirates such as Henry Morgan, Edward Teach, and Anne Bonny had visited in their voyages!

Being able to travel to the place I have spent the last four years wrapping my imagination around is a dream come true to this pirate, almost as if I was making a pilgrimage relative to pirate fans. Many pirates I have been speaking too have shown a lot of jealousy and envy of my upcoming journey to the Caribbean, and I really do wish I would be able to get the chance to bring every pirate in the Caribbean with me. But that's when I realized, I might be able to!

Over the next few months my goal is to compile a list of as many pirates in the Caribbean as possible, the names of which I will then bring with me to the Caribbean and bury in the sands of the islands. I hope this to be a symbolic measure of bringing all of the "souls" of your pirates and "baptizing" them as true pirates by bringing their being to the Caribbean with me, even if that means that you yourself cannot be there. After all, a true pirate has to have been to the waters that he treads, savvy? ;)

There is no obligation to this other than listing your pirate's name and his/her guild (do not give me the guild name if you plan on leaving it, or may leave it in the near future - I will NOT be going through the list a hundred times to change your guild name.) If you have multiple pirates, please feel free to list them, as well as any pirates who you know that want to be added to the list but are not able to tell me about it directly. Do NOT, however, give me the names of pirates without their consent.

I hope to expand this list to as great a length as possible, so please be sure to spread the word to as many pirates as you can!
