Skull Staff
 

I just hit 15 staff and got the skull staff. So far, I am not sure why I spent 20000 on it. Any thoughts on what makes this staff so great?:skull:

It makes it look better. Otherwise, no idea.

i wont buy it immiditly bc i dont see it as necissary however i will buy it when i have all 3 of me war class ships

Unfortunatly, the staff appears to be the only weapon that does not change appearance as you buy the better versions of it.

Hey, it's something to spend your gold on. Once you get all 3 war ships, gold comes fast, and with the cap being 65k, i've got all the top weapons. Don't know if they help at all, but if i had not gotten them, i'd have been stuck at the cap a long time ago.

Same here Shadow, I've given some guild mates gold before too. As for the staff, supossedly it adds an extra +4 damage per hit. Thats not very noticable IMO.

yea i think upgrading weapons should do more for u than just make it look cooler the only upgrade worth buying is the pistol

right..we need more things to buy, as its making sailing not so fun no more.

I did buy all the weapons too, not for the damage (but hoping kinda they would change the appearance like the cutlass)

im stuck at 65k again, and have nothing to buy, my bottles are filled, my weapons are all purchased, i hope soon they either add the clothing update, or at least remove or raise the gold cap, as 65,000 is really not that much when you think about it.

Id also like to see some skill point changes, say 20k to relocate a skill point, enough money to make it a challenge, but still rectifying some of our bad choices in point allocation (and we all have made some, i made a few i wish i could take back) AND maybe a choice of equipting weapons (i want my rusty cutlass back, and where is my flintlock??)

It's sort of just there if you want to have your staff the highest it can be. Just a show off of being lvl 30+.

yeah, but you cant even show off tht properly,

since all the staffs have the same outward appearance, there is no way for me to know offhand someones staff level, of course unless they tell me.

Have gotten remarks about my nice cutlass, but no one ever compliments my twig.

is why i see the upgrade as pointless in all ways.

I have to agree with the opinion that it really is not much more than something to spend gold on. I upgraded my weapons and there has been no apparent changes in damages, although the descriptions do say that it will up by 2 or 4, depending on the upgrade. At this point in the game the difference is not really distinguishable.

I do believe, however, that in the future, this will be improved upon, or even better weapons will become available.

Yeah there's a bug with the image for the voodoo staff. I can briefly see the skull staff when I draw it. But once I'm holding it, it switchs back to the normal staff look.

Yes, all the upgraded weapons do is look nicer and add 2 or 4 more pts of damage. If you got the money to spend, get it. Otherwise save your money.

I went in a live chat with a rep about the appearance not changing, she said I may not have gotten all the images with my download of pirates and said to re install it, I said this was happening to everyone, not just me, and she closed the chat. Really helpful :p but I guess re installing is worth a shot...
