I just did this quest lol. You don't need corvettes, any EITC ship will work :). But, if you really want to know where they are, most of them are near Devil's Anvil.

Start from Tortuga, and head towards the left, there's a corvette all by its lonely :)

yea if u start from tortuga hang a sharp left and sail straight u will eventually see it out there all by itself waiting to be sunk
