Kingshead Lag

Every time I get into the inner part of the Kingshead fortification, I start getting serious lag. It doesn't matter if I go in when there's almost no one online, there's still horrendous lag.

Has anyone else noticed this? Has there been an explanation yet?

Yes I have it and other people do too. Kingshead is still an "old island" as it was not redone along with PdF, Port Royal, and Tortuga. Try lowering you're graphic settings. Other than that try switching servers.

Hmm... Yeah, I think that that area is pretty laggy, just because how high it is.. Best guess is to go with what koepke said.

I tried changing my game video resolution to medium and it worked, thanks. The very minor problem was that I had to sign in and out each time I changed it, but it was worth it.

Sailing to Kingshead I noticed that the ships and water look a little less detailed and more cartoon-like, but it wasn't bad.

Now the main problem in Kingshead is that the structure is multi-level, but the compass only shows in two dimensions.

Ya thats the annoying thing about kingshead, it is impossible to tell where enemies actually are by the compass. Especially with quests, often times the nearest enemy is actually on a different level and really hard to get to.
