Pirates of the Caribbean Online Fansite & Forums - Monthly Victory Shark Fleets beginning THIS MONDAY!

Ahoy pirates!

It was a long-time tradition in Partners In Crime for all of the members guild who owned a Victory Shark to, on special occasions, get together in a single fleet and head out on the open seas to dominate their enemies! One of my fondest memories in the old guild was when I first experienced one of these fleets - it was first time that I made an actual connection with the guild, as though I had become a part of something greater.

As part of the New Years Reforms, we have decided to bring these fleets back in the form of regular, monthly Victory Shark Fleets! Every month, a new fleet will be held, with each one having a different theme - whether it be running around from island to island, playing games with our ships, showcasing our strength to other pirates, or simply decimating our enemies! It will be a great way for all of our older players to remember all the fun times from the past, while giving the opportunity for our newer members to create some for themselves!

The theme for the first official guild fleet will be the Freedom Fleet, and will involve our members pillaging the seas on the interior of the Caribbean as a way to help some of the less-notorious pirates in the Caribbean make it from island to island safely! It will be held in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and will thusly be held on that day - Monday, January 16th, at 3:30 PM Eastern! After clearing the sea ways, we will port at Port Royal and plunder Fort Charles, before celebrating our first monthly guild fleet with a classic dance party!

Specifications for taking part in the guild fleet are simple, so that all of our members can be their own captain in this almighty fleet - your ship must be named a Victory Shark. Although we would prefer if guildmates would fly the official guild sail on their VS during the fleet, which is outlined here on the guild site, it is not required to participate. Simple as that!

After this months fleet, they will all be posted on our Event Schedule, which will be updated later today in light of the new year.
