Wow.... When I signed in yesterday I forgot about the new brig........
Still think that you should be able to change the ship color, I don't want to have skull and bones and green sail...
Anyway! A great update! :D

They would have broke the game further adding our own color choices (even though most business-qualified games have it, Pirates Online not being a "certified" game).

I don't know, but this game is just for advertising and keeping the game alive.

They forgot about us again.

Wait, how do we get that skull ship? is it suppose to be a customization or enemy ship.

I'm really disappointed they made it so to even get piddly amounts of the materials, you MUST face hunters. Yes, they say there is a chance for them to drop from regular war-class ships, but that's beyond low. After 300+ Behemoths, Juggernauts, Dreadnoughts, etc, etc, etc only a single Ship Materials crate from them.

One issue is that EVEN from the Hunters, Ship Materials have been few and far between. Why? Especially since they only give you small amounts of material at random.

Dude, they did this for a reason...

So the content could last longer than 3 months!

(If you've played a game that required MASSIVE GRIND to get special type of gear, you would understand that this is normal. I know it seems a lot, but... its worth it)

Fantastic, those that play every day, for a number of hours, could have this done in a few months. Those that don't, it's more than a little grind. What HARM would there be in having the non-Hunter ships (Juggernauts, Behemoths, Death Omens, etc) having a little better chance of dropping the materials? None at all. None. No argument is capable of changing that conclusion.

Well, it doesn't bother me that much but I predict it would mean less funds for Disney because they obvisouly can't create content that'll last or make it seem worth to continue paying for it.

It it's over during the first week... what was the use of developing it if people won't ever come back to it again?

(I know, people will come back to ship customization, but I'm talking about the other activities like fishing)

Getting materials is fine as it is. It's not hard and it's not easy. Usually everything ends up being to easy in POTCO so this is good for a change. It will keep pirates busy and have fun.

A bug that i had today was that after a long run of materials, gold and loot, i got nothing. After porting, the window showing the plunder didn't come out at all... hopefully it's not something big because i know no one would want to spend 45 minutes for nothing

Solomon Guncastle 12-18-2011 05:53 PM

I for one am glad it's here, sure it might take awhile to gather the material get the gold I just spent back but when I finally do get the upgrades I know my ship has just gotten 5x better than it was before.

Yea, there may be bugs but I'm sure that over time they will work them out. The best ya can hope for is that they work out the most problem causing bugs if they can do more then that's great.

But, the problem being, these bugs are MAJOR because they are affecting loot earned from sailing runs.

It should have just stayed on test, allowing us testers to submit more reports so they can patch it up more.

But no, they decided to rush again because the CEO knew it would be closer to being too late...

/story at the end

Captain Jorden 12-23-2011 04:12 PM

Well would you want a mob spamming all of the chat log, That is just saying "Where is Ship customization." I wouldn't, and the if it never did came.

Also HAving bugs in a update that are somewhat major, but doesn't bother some people(the people who spend 15 hours, but to them only seems like 15min).

And there were bugs to begin with when the loot puches and chests come out.
