Well, the server's down...

And I can only imagine that they'll give us back our original Ocean population limit because of the fixes they developed from yesterday to implement today.

I couldn't get into any of the top 10 Oceans the whole time. Plus, when they first opened the server when ship customization came out, it still was buggy in a way, a lot of ways.

Well, we'll hope for the best result to come out of this maintenance, then more people can be on the same server again :D

Until that time though...

I heard the Tailors got new cloths for sale with this update (Not the event/month one, the actual clothing stores on the islands)?

I think it is hilarious, because I was talking to a friend about when I got kicked from live, it was right after it told me to log off now please. And right when I said that, I got kicked from test lol.

Hopefully this won't take long, I just got unlimited back!

It won't be long. They specified a time frame.

Here it is:

There are two new coats available for purchase by the tailors on Padres, Cuba, and Tortuga. Neither of them have a name yet (Error, no name) and they're both male-only.

They always gotta give a single gender the new clothes in one update while the other is forced to wait for the same or better in another D:.

So far this has once again proven that Disneys strategy fails. Once again another premature update that wasn't ready on test and live wasn't strong enough to handle it. This should of stayed on test until it was ready and this was at about 75% ready on test. Would of been way smarter and logical if they waited for just a couple of more weeks or even less to finish strong. While they mess up, we suffer...

They have test where players are basically working for them to make the game better. Even with that, they still keep making mistakes by not fixing the bugs and doing their job. Don't get me wrong, I love this update and i think this is the best addition to the game yet but disappointing the way POTCO staff works on it.

More fixes!

You have to give big D some credit though. They did quite a good job with this, and these small fixes are nothing compared to waiting months while the update is still being tested. Kudos to Big D on this update. We can all stand a 2 hour fix to make this update better.

I am not saying Disney's strategy is the best, but this update is a lot better than previous updates. Just be patient.

Oh i give them a lot of credit for the content. It's well above my expectations and it does look like it will be expanded on the future.

But perhaps you didn't quiet understand me. I have previously stated that if the game were to shut down for a full week i would be okay with it and I wouldn't ask for a refund for the lost week as long as they worked out a good amount of issues and the game performance was improved. Patience is not my problem with this. I also think this should of stayed on test longer for better fixing so again I don't have a problem with waiting. My problem is with the mistakes that keep repeating. If this were to stay and get fixed up on test until at least no more known issues were there, then it would of been less of a pain for the developers and the players on live. So my point is, they need to let the content mature then release it where in the end, it's more likely to have a happy ending.

Ice_Storm 12-17-2011 12:38 AM

I can't teleport to Abassa for some reason.

Already got a teleport error message:

"Couldn't teleport to the destination" or something similar like that.

more bugs to be found after...

EDIT 1:

Couldn't teleport to a War Brig public ship even though there was only 7 people aboard it...

It only proves that Disney doesn't listen to the bug reports us hardcore testers send in and address the issues before it hits the live game.

They could careless about us, no kidding.

That leads me to believe this game is just a marketing strategy to keep the movies and the idea alive for cash gain for the moment.

Live is different from Test. More players, different issues, etc. You can't expect a new update to come out without having bugs. They'll all probably be fixed shortly. Good things come to those who wait.

Ultima 12-18-2011 12:36 AM

I agree with Leo They did put it on live to early I was actuly hoping they woudn't do that.

You quoted me on a post where i said i have no problem with waiting or patience as long as the job is done. You also mentioned the differences of live and test but i said finish the job on test completely to have less problems on live. Clearly, so far most of the issues were pretty much known on test. So it would of been smart to let it wait on test longer and finish the job there first.
