Hanging up wings
 

Alright my mates .... it is time for my era to come to a close. My pet sitting business, my son, my husband, my school commitments, my cub scout commitments it all is going to get my focus. SO with that being said I am retiring from Pirates. Now hear me though - this does not mean that I will not be back occassionally! So please dont kick me out or take away my status. I will always be a Partner ~Til Death!!!

Sad to see you go. I never actually met you in-game, but I do know that you have a heart of gold (if you'll excuse the pun :P). Have a good time with whatever you decide to do next. :)

This is a very hard post to make.

I remember very vividly the day that we first met, Char. We came to meet under unfortunate circumstances, but I was shocked to see out cheery you still were despite why you came to us. In all my years I had never seen such a bright, shining personality, and from that day on I learned that your presence in our guild was something special.

You've taught me a lot in the time that I've gotten to know you, Char. You taught me how to be kind to others regardless of the time, place, person or circumstance, and that simple acts of compassion can bring you a long way down the road. You've taught me that sometimes standing up for others is more important than standing up for yourself (I doubt that if I never met you Id be as defensive as I am today - LOL.) But most importantly, you've taught me to learn how to enjoy life just a little more each and every day; because, no matter what happens, there will always be the people you love and are loved by that will stand beside you.

That being said, I understand completely your need to take some time off and hang up your wings - for now, of course. It's time for you to go and teach some others a few new things; as much as I want to hog you all to myself, that would be unfair to all the other wonderful people who you too will teach a little more.

So, this isn't really a goodbye - just a teary-eyed "see you around."

P.S. Expect a lot of messages from the guild and I ever so often... We just wanna stay in touch ;)
