Mastering a weapon = no more points?

I just reached level 25 on voodoo last night. I knew you didn't get any more skill points but was surprised to find out that I wasn't getting any more notoriety points when using voodoo either. What's the point of mastering a skill?

Same as the point of mastering a pirate :)

Yep, aren't bragging rights a good enough point in themselves?

Ya, i think its kinda lame that you dont get any more rep either. Once you master it, you dont wanna use/do it anymore...

Maybe it's our wonderful host's way of keeping us around until they decide to unlock the final quest. Spend a ton of time leveling up a weapon that's not worth using anymore. Now I need to level up one of my other neglected weapons to take it's place (until I hit lv30 and get my staff anyway).

does any body else think there shouls be a larger number of level for each weapon?:vhuh: you can only truly master a skill if all of it's secondaryskills are filled up. they should change this before doing anymore fashion changes to the game.:vangry:

I think eventually they might make new skills, therefore a reason to level up more on your weapons.

yup bragging rights and ability to kill anything :D

......maybe the reason that you cant fill all the skills up is to allow some diversity among the masters .. maybe we wont all use the same skills ..i maybe a master of healing voodoo and you maybe far more adequate at causing damage with your doll... maybe its a way to ensure that not all pirates stand shoulder to shoulder with there equals .. would be lame to know exactly what the guy across from you was able to do every time... where is the surprise to be found when you know the limits of all capabilities

i agree that rep should be handed out even if a weapon is mastered , even if a pirates Not lvl is at 40 how difficult would it be to have a counter to track our rep .. even if it was just 1 rep per kill max...
wasnt the goal to become the most notorious ..

......i would imagine that when the level caps are raised new skills will be added so that we still will have to make a choice on where we stand

Laters..... fears and foes to stand and face

Chris 02-11-2008 02:41 AM

yea diversity between pirate masters bc some people will put all or most of their points to attacks while other will to passive

mrcharisma316 02-11-2008 02:48 AM

the first 20 level 40 pirates didnt have to master all weapons
