Mastering Without Completing Quest
 

I am 67% done with the Black Pearl quest and later today (Feb. 10, 08) I will get level 33 notoriety (1,000 points away). Is it possible to become a Pirate Master without getting to 80% done with Black Pearl? We'll soon find out as I near mastering my first couple weapons.

yes i think so i have compleatly stopped my black pearl quest until all weaps are lvl 24

i will use the Pearl quest until i am lvl30 then i won't really care about it.:vwink:

im in no hurry to finish bc.... think about it when the (more like IF) the boss battle comes out think of the 7000 + players trying to do the same thing at once woot major lag crashes and maybe a hint of fustration

just one more little charmer headed in disney's direction. :vgrin:

Well, it's Disney, what can you expect? =)

I reached level 40 without completing the Boss Battle (that's 2000 rep)
and without maxing any weapon (all are at level 24), sailing also
at level 24. I only mastered cannon.
If i maxed all weapon and sailing i have a surplus of around 2500 rep
from the total rep needed to reach level 40.
I forgot how many rep we got from John Smith's quest but i believe
it was more than 2500 rep, so i think you have to finish Giladoga's
quest and part of John Smith's quest and max all weapon if you want
to be a pirate master.

OK. Bronze John is after Giladoga? Cool.
