The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
After years of waiting for a new Zelda game to come on to the Wii (which I have ever-so loyally kept as my sole gaming console other than my computer) I and millions of other Zelda fans will have our wish granted this Sunday as the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword makes it's official release in the US!
I've been waiting years for this ever since I beat Twilight Princess for the third time (though I still play it periodically to date) and personally I have been hyped this entire week for it. Anybody else excited? |
Getting it for my Birthday, just days after it gets released. >: D
Very excited. I loved Twilight Princess. One of the best story's I've ever played, with some pretty epic boss fights in there. I hear Skyward Sword will have quite a different style of game-play, but either way it is quite exciting. It was one of the best games I've ever played on my Wii, and I'm extremely looking forward to getting Skyward Sword. I'm ready for some sword-fighting, dungeons, and most of all... Link's various HIYAAAAAH's that make up most of his vocabulary. |
:banghead: gotta fix my wii first -_-, but yes, I am excited.
|
I bought this game along with a brand-new Wii system, and I must say... I haven't been able to let go of my Wii remote since. :laughks2: I've never actually played any LoZ games... But this was a good first impression. ;) I LOVE it so far! And if this isn't the best of the Wii versions... I can't imagine how good the best must be. :psmiley35:

I'm excited, I should be getting it in December.

I haven't finished the game yet, so I won't put up my full review yet - but after clearing the sixth dungeon just an hour ago, I can definitely say this is one of the best, if not THE best Nintendo game released in the past decade. Truly outstanding.

Wish I could get it, but I sold my Wii years ago :/
|
I am loving this game! I miss Epona though... I haven't finished it so, maybe the horse is there.

This is quite comical actually. I haven't played on my Wii for quite a while, so when I get Skyward Sword, I play for around a half hour before my Wii remotes batteries died. I have no more. Go figure. :/
I'm really looking forward to playing more though. So far it seems quite interesting. |
o_o I feel bad for you, Tiberius. LOL Hope you can get batteries soon! ;)
|
I have gobe through 2 sets of batteries because I have been playing a lot. I get stuck at places for long periods of time then once I see the way to solve the problem I fly through it. I have fought bosses for hours (not really hours but it feels like hours) with no result then I figure things out and they are easily beaten. I am really liking this game.

So far the game is pretty great. I haven't had much time to play it because I've been very busy, but overall I like it a lot. The fighting is a lot better than Twilight Princess (which was already pretty good), probably due to the Wii Motion Plus addition. The one thing I need to say negatively is that I feel that the Graphics are not as good as Twilight Princess, and often times I feel like I'm playing some sort of Mario game because of them (and the Kikwi things in the Faron Woods sort of remind me of those Goomba things). Also, I think that the gameplay was a little more friendly in twilight Princess. You were able to access your inventory by using the directional arrows, but you need to select it in this game. Doesn't take much time, but its just a little more than necessary.
Overall I like the game so far. I'm still on the first dungeon, but I'm liking it a lot. |
