Nope. And if you're desperate enough to use a glitch to try and get the weapon, to be honest, I don't think you deserve it. There's a code to keep to, you know.

It's complete luck, mate. It took some people hours to find it at a spot, and some (like me) it took only a few minutes. My best tip for you is patience.

I have the Lost Sword. My secret to getting it was using a pistol at Darkhart, single, with no crew.

Also, what is holloween?

Littlebell 10-30-2011 01:53 PM

do you mean the Lost Sword of El Patron? :degen:

i found that and another sword by random loot drop while fighting the assassins near Neban the Silent in Beckett's Quarry on Padres del Fuego. i wasn't looking for the sword in particular, just leveling, and i was there several hours before finding them. :dancetl6:

"holloween"... celebrated at the end of October in Pixie Hollow? :laughks2:

happy hunting! :pirate6:

fly sail with you later! :sailr:

My friend got the Lost Sword from the soldiers at Kingshead... really shows that you can get it anywhere, anytime.

A strategy I picked up is that if you spend lots of time at a particular area, it pays out like an arcade machine. Let's say Player 1 spent an hour at Timothy Dartan, but had to go AFK. Player 2 comes to Timothy and starts fighting. Within minutes he has the Lost Sword, when Player 1 spent an hour there and didn't find anything. I think it's all area cycles.

Player 1 = Moi

Player 2 = Lucky people like Sharktooth :laughks2:

It's just patience and luck. I spent a month at Darkhart and didn't get it. Then, about half a month later, I decided to fight him again because he was near one of my quest objectives. And lo and behold, there was the Lost Sword in a skull chest. So go out there and loot and good luck, mate.

I would suggest server hopping.

My personal rules are this: Get a skull every 15 minutes, hop servers if you don't get a skull every 15 minutes. Stay on a server for no more than an hour. If you get a famed or legendary weapon on one server, hop servers immediately (the odds of getting a second famed in the same server are very very low). If you're not taking down a boss, go to an area with 4+ enemies you can take down on a constant basis. (The South Grave and Treasure Room are prime examples).

If you play on busy hours and have trouble finding an area that isn't already occupied by looters, dare to loot in a more obscure place. The shipwreck area on Tormenta is an example.

Depending on who you talk to, some will say that it's good to limit yourself to 3-7 specific servers, however, I prefer to just go up or down the server list.

This can all greatly increase your chances, however, I would not get your hopes up. Null my break, I have been server hopping every other day for roughly 6 months; I have plenty of famed items, but no legendary items (except Freeze, but everyone just gets that from Foulberto nowadays). And then one of my smaller pirates got the Lost Sword within 30 minutes of training at Darkhart. It's just all about being at the right place at the right time, in my opinion anyways.

Mate, here's how you get it. Go defeat Smasho, alone, with the doll and only using the poke skill. Then, on the same server, beat Darkhart about 117 times, using the blast skill on the staff. Also alone. Then, after you do that, go to Abassa, and get a PvP invite. Beat the opponent 40-0. Then, go defeat Jaques le Blanc. Redeem Code ghostpatron. If it works, then enjoy your sword, if not, then wonder why you just went on some wild goosechase for a weak-ish weapon, when you could have been grinding your weapons, or plundering at Abassa to get Silver Freeze quickly.

I have to disagree with this. I was looting at Southern Grave and got Bayou Dagger, Sharkfang blade, and Gorilla cutlass on the same server. Also just yesterday I got Coasairs Bayonet and Lucky Charm withing 10 minutes in the same server. Also one if not both of my Lost Swords came about 10 minutes after a famed.

And I have received over 50 famed items (add an extra 35 or so with Foulberto) via server hopping. Usually the first 3 skulls on a server will contain a famed weapon.

I'm not saying my method is fool-proof, I realize it's all luck in general.

The only thing I can say for certain is that it's about being at the right place at the right time. This was proved (at least from my view) at the rollbacks some time ago.
