New enemies?

Kay so do you guys think new enemies should be added to the game wielding a voodoo staff or possessing supernatural powers?

Examples:
Undead Shaman
Level range: (40-50)
Attacks: Wither, sometimes Desolation
Drops: Mostly Dark Staves such as the Undead Staff and Skeletal Staff, in rare occasions Nature Staves, daggers, bane dolls
Island: Padres Del Fuego

Undead Sorcerer
Level range: (30-40)
Attacks: Wither
Drops: Nature Staves, spirit dolls,
Island: Cutthroat Isle

Undead Necromancer
Level range: (20-25)
Attacks: Summoning the undead, Life Drain, Grave Shackles
Drops: Dark Staves and Bane Dolls
Island: Isla Perdida

What I truly believe is that Disney should start removing those prolong timer "pauses" between attack animation frames so the enemies behave a lot more realistic and dangerous, proving to be a REAL challenge.

But who am I kidding... Disney will always continue to use outdated programming techniques to get a game just in "working" state to produce greens in their company's wallet.

Agreed, thank you for posting on my post! :smiley-rpg028:

I mean, because then we wouldn't have to worry about boring enemies for a while, or even at all.

If they were just given special attack animations that aren't similar to what pirates can do and actually attack at our speed, then it would actually increase the fun factor a little for grinding notoriety or weapons level.

I have been sending feedback on this to them for a while now :/

Slasher 10-10-2011 04:17 AM

Yeah, its about time for attacking to change. But priority number one. Fix glitches. I know it sucks but we have to. Anyways, yeah, we do need the enemies to change. It gets a bit boring watching them do the same stuff, and same with our attacks. I wish there was just a bit of flair to show with. It would look much better.

We need an extremely high level, supernatural boss that isn't horribly overpowered, or the only way to get to it is to grapple and survive on a ship. That's what I would like for the game.

Currently, the only enemy wielding a voodoo staff is Jolly Roger, and I think it might stay like that to make him seem more powerful.

Jolly Roger has a staff? You learn something every day. :psmiley27:
I like the idea of a Necromancer. We also need more Davy Jones. Like maybe a story quest about him- Or, better yet, a story quest where him AND Jolly Roger team up to defeat pirates.
Maybe, more LIVE creatures. Right now we have scorpions, crabs, navy (which we can't shoot :( ), gators, stumps, and fly traps. Maybe some others. But what about Sea Monsters, like the Kraken (which actually got killed, but Tia Dalma was also dead). If the Kraken came, maybe you could shoot at it with guns, with cannons. Cut off tentacles, or maybe some special weapon that came into the game.
Good idea, though, to have more enemies

Stolph 11-26-2011 07:56 PM

The game takes place before the death of the Kraken, or of Davy Jones, or of Barbossa.

As for staff wielding enemies..

Possibly an undead Necromancer boss that creates skeletons and uses staff attacks?

As for Dark_Pixie's idea..

Perhaps a rare ship like the Navy/EITC Fleet.

An undead flagship guarded by many other ships..

Better yet, the flying dutchman.

Enemy Ideas

Well, I wanted to create some enemies and enemy boats. So, here:

Spoiler for Weapon Ideas:
Navy Patrolman
Level: 10-15
Job: To guard forts, jungles, etc., to sign the alarm and call for help.
Weapons: Cutlass
Extra note: Can see pirates and attack them, you do not have to attack first!

Navy Patrol Boat
Boat type: Sloop
Job: Patrols the oceans, sticks mostly to Navy Areas (Kingshead, Fort Charles)
Cannonballs: Round, Chain, Fire
Extra Note: Can call in larger ships!

Small Navy Warship
Boat Type: Light Frigate
Job: Assists and travels with larger EITC and Navy ships, forming a small Navy Fleet.
Cannonballs: Round, Chain, Fire, broadside Fire
Extra Note: Small Navy Warships cover the sides of the larger ship, and when their leader attacks, they form a circle around one or two pirate ships. Be careful, and plan well!

I like the idea of the patrolman. Possibly a higher level version of the enemy could be a Chief or something, and uses a whistle to call in other enemies. He also rides above other enemies/players on a horse.

(1,100th post yay! :D)

They probably won't be adding Davy Jones. They said they would PLAN on releasing him and he hasn't. I agree with you, though, Tormenta does need a boss like him.

Captain Hector 12-03-2011 06:42 PM

Davy Jones-

I decided to make a Davy Jones Boss, based on the recent chat.
Spoiler for Davy Jones and Navy Cheif:
Davy Jones Boss
Level: 50
Weapons: Sword
Special Weapons: Crab Claw, Tentacles
Attacks: Stab (sword), Thrust (sword), Sweep (sword, Bladestorm (sword)
Special Attacks: Claw Crunch (claw, stuns an enemy for 10 seconds, takes 200 life), Tentacle Wrap (tentacles rise from the ground and engulf every pirate nearby. Lasts 12 seconds, 300 damage per second), Kick (leg, knocks an enemy down for 5 seconds, expect a stab to the ground in that five seconds), Tentacle Choke (Chokes an enemy for 5 seconds, causes 500 damage)

Oh, and here's a Navy Chief, or what it could be:

Navy Chief
Level: 25-32
Job: To watch over Patrolmen, and call in extra support.
Weapons: Cutlass
Extra Note: Will never attack an enemy, but will defend if attacked first.

HammyTheSquirrel 12-03-2011 07:58 PM

I think Davy Jones would only work if he was placed on the Flying Dutchman like the QAR worked. He can't step on land, so they really could only place his First-Mate on Tormenta. Maybe there could be a big Davy Jones event where he invades instead of Jolly Roger... or something like that, and it would happen once a year. ;) (obviously it would probably include GM's)

static156 12-03-2011 09:56 PM

I think they should add a boss that has a helper kinda like how jack the monkey helps barbossa
just my opinion though....
