Keybinds?
I am new here and wondering if there is any way possible with PotC to change or modify the keybinds? I would like to bind shift to my 4th mouse button, but I have yet to find a way to do so.
All help appreciated! :piratear: |
Not as far as I know, mate. And a fourth button..?

As far as I know, there is not a way to do this, which is a pity because there are a few things I'd move around a bit. The developers probably wouldn't do it because it just takes too much coding for them, and there isn't much complaint about wanting to change keys (although I'm sure people wouldn't mind it being put in.)
Oh, as a side note, I've been meaning to find somewhere to put this: I accidentally pressed my thumb key on my Five Button Mouse and I noticed it triggered autorun for some reason. Not sure why, but that's just an observation of mine. |

Hmm... Tiberius is right. I say try pressing that button in game and see if it does anything. :laughks2: |
It's understandable that when one pirate comes over from another game the keys may seem odd to them, and even a seasoned pirate as myself gets the keys from the many games I sample from mixed up - for example, I once spent five minutes on the docks of Nassau in Pirates of the Burning Sea because I was still trying to remember which keys I can use to run :laughks2:
Our dear POTCO unfortunately does not have the option of keybindings as far as I'm aware of, so the only advice I may be able to give you is try and see if some of the controls that are like the other games you've played are somewhat similar around here. If not, then just keep running around and shooting at the Undead until you get the hang of it :pirate2: |
A gaming mouse? Normally they come with soft-ware that can help bind a key or action to the extra buttons on the mouse,or at least I think they do as I don't have one (i just know about things :P )
