I think Hammy is right... Anyways, welcome aboard! I think you might get a speech from Del saying about the guilds. Well today I'm gonna make history and beat him to it. It really helps when your starting out to have some friends to help you. So I would recommend heading over to the Guilds And Clans section some time. And the big subforms aren't the only guilds. Some guilds are very good, even though they don't have a sub form. So check it out! Anyways. We also got some rules here.

1. Don't cross pirates/do what they say. Usually you will end up with a pistol in your face. Not fun.

2. Don't steal rum. It just isn't nice to steal from pirates. Especially Tiberius Fireskull's rum. Its toxic. Not the greatest things to drink..

3. Do NOT, NOT, NOT join the ban game!!! It does things to you, and some people don't come back from that world. (Props to DP. This is her rule)

4. Get active on the forums! *Cough Most* Pirates will be happy to talk! Just give them some rum and they are all ears..

5. Have fun! We hope you enjoy your stay!

I see you have met the Welcome Wagon. Well, I guess they stole all of the long posts. So I'll keep it simple and say: Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy your stay here with all these smelly and insane pirates!

As the others have stated, I would suggest that you take the opportunity to look around the Guilds and Clans section of these here forums so you can perhaps find a group of pirates that may be a suitable crew to fight along side you. Remember, never limit yourself to just looking at one or two guilds - every guild on the forums is unique, and has something that it can offer you. Take your time when looking around, and once you find a guild that is ideal for you, go ahead and take the liberty of contacting that guild's Guildmaster.

Of course, to make your time navigating around these forums easier, I'll go ahead and give you that big ole directory of mine anyway:

POTCO Guilds and Clans - Home to dozens of unique guilds in the Caribbean, whether just blooming or having resided here for many years!
Black Bart's Krewe - A very notorious and long-standing guild, definitely a guild for any pirate looking for a good home filled with adventure, warmheartedness, and fun!
Partners N Crime - My own guild, we're dedicated to serving as a "home away from home" for all pirates both new and old, and are always open to making new long-time friends.
Shadow Sorcerors - Headed by Tiberius Fireskull, it's a very welcoming guild dedicated to pirates bonding together to enjoy the Caribbean as a whole.

So, in short, best of luck in finding a good group of mates to hang with, and enjoy your time around here! If you have any questions, just feel free to ask.
