Turning the Tide ~ Triangle of Terror
Ahoy pirates!
Before I go in to detail, I want to take a moment to thank all of you pirates for making all the previous events I've been running a great success. We're one step closer to uniting the Caribbean thanks to you all, and I'm hoping that we can start pulling in more and more massive crowds as each event comes and goes. Now, with that being said, on to the matter at hand: It seems as though our brief period of peace is over, my brethren. The Navy has become more and more angered by our extreme showings of strength over the past few weeks - first with the destruction of their shipping lines, then with the defeat of one of their most powerful new weapons, and just recently the thwarting of their plans to capture all of us when we were most vulnerable. And although it may seem as though we are gaining on our enemies in this War for the Caribbean, I'm afraid this is soon to not be the case. While we have been hard at work defending our waters from the red coats, they have been whipping up a much more devious plan, one that may soon bring a hammer down on our freedom to roam about the islands of the Caribbean. After recently recovering a piece of a map from a group of Navy soldiers, we have learned that the Navy is working on a sort of back-lot plan in a vicious attempt to block us off from travels in the southeastern seas of the Caribbean, where the majority of our most notorious pirates do business. Though I am not sure as to what the markings mean in a definite sense, I do know that I can confirm what some of the lowest rumors in the backs of the taverns have been echoing - the Navy plans to militarize a group of significant forces against us on the islands of Kingshead, Padres Del Fuego, and Port Royal, as well as the surrounding seas, to block us off from these waters. They have named this their so-called "Triangle of Triumph," as a way to show their dominance over us pirates. However, I plan to turn the tides in this war, by turning their triumph in to terror. We will be leading a massive pirate army against the forces of the British Royal Navy and their allies within the East India Company as a way to turn the tides in this war! We will amass ourselves on the beaches of Cutthroat Island near Tomas Blanco - a place the Navy seadogs dare not venture - and then follow the course shown on the map above. We will begin by sailing to Kingshead once again, chopping down our newest foes and "demolishing" the island via our trusty bomb-bombs and staffs. We will then take to the seas, where we will destroy the fleets amassed in the Hinterseas and the Boiling Bay, before porting at Padres. Once we reach Padres, will we meet at the entrance to the Lava Gorge, where we will lead a complete raid of the Padres Cave system, as well as the back beach. We will then prepare our final attack by launching from the back beach, and sailing to Port Royal, where we will find victory within Fort Charles! What: Turning the Tide ~ The Triangle of Terror! Where: We will meet on Cutthroat Isle, near Tomas Blanco, on Barano, and then move our forces forward from there. When: Friday, August 5th, 2011, at 9:30 PM EST (8:30 CST, 7:30 MST, 6:30 CST.) Why: To make sure those Navy bilge rats don't keep us from our islands! Who: ALL PIRATES! As you can guess, large numbers for an event like this are crucial if we want to survive! No matter if you've been to all the events before this, or not even one, I encourage ALL PIRATES to join us for such a unique moment in Caribbean history! Hope to see plenty of you all there! This is your last minute warning, pirates! It's time to sharpen those cutlasses, clean those pistols, and head down to Tomas Blanco on Cutthroat Isle, Barano, to prepare for war! See you all there!

What a night, mates!
Last night the Caribbean was put under martial law by one of the largest group of pirates this old seadog has ever seen, by undertaking a very daring mission. Only the bravest pirates and guilds from all over the Caribbean gathered to what would be a landmark in our War in the Caribbean, as the brethren army made it's assault on the British Naval bastions of Kingshead, Padres Del Fuego, and Port Royal. The call was given a half hour before the event, and soon enough under the cover of dawn, the pirates made their way secretly to their headquarters on Cutthroat Island, away from prying Navy eyes. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-17-04.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-17-17.jpg Our first target laid just off on the horizon, buried under the haze of the morning - Kingshead, the largest of the Navy fortifications in the Caribbean. Even though the the island was pulverized by the pirates just a month ago, the Navy made quick work in repairing their structures, and taking them to new heights. Taking this as a challenge, the pirates gathered themselves and prepared to set sail. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-28-12.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-32-03.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-33-14.jpg As the Navy unre****lly held us off with their bayonets at the gates, we formed our riot just before them, gathering ourselves before we took the plunge in to the island. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-35-32.jpg Unfortunately I could not grab any screenshots during the raid as I was busy organizing the crowds and cutting down some redcoats myself, but I have you know that only within minutes did the pirates conquer the island, raising the Jolly Roger in the highest peak of the fort! Of course, we were far from over - the Navy from the nearby islands had already caught word of the destruction of their precious stronghold, and attempted to squash our rebellion by sending a fresh fleet of ships out in to the Hinterseas to stop us. Unfortunately for them, over them we found numbers, viciousness, and overall, the will to fight and survive! http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-47-39.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-51-39.jpg With the Hinterseas on flames once again and the barrier between us and the volcano island broken, we trudged forward through the streets of Padres Del Fuego, drawing much attention from civilians and wandering pirates who saw our army gather in numbers in the Gypsy District, just before the Lava Gorge. With fire in our hearts and rum in our stomachs, we drew our swords, and prepared to take on the longest leg of our journey! http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_21-58-10.jpg The pirates stormed the Lava Gorge, making quick work of Jolly Roger's doormen, cutting them down and tossing them aside in to the hot lava that sat nearby. We quickly cut ourselves in to the Catacombs, where we could find our first person of interest hiding in the shadows - Bonerattler! Though not a servant of the Navy, we could not allow for Jolly's henchman to lead a surprise attack on us when we were most vulnerable. And so, the pirates quickly heeded their orders, running in and picking off the bag of bones like vultures. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-06-58.jpg Although we got the chance to wipe out the Southern Graves of the Catacombs, we were unable to raid the North, for the sake of time, and to make sure we kept focus on what mattered most - toppling those Navy scourges! We headed in to Beckett's precious mines, where we preyed on the unsuspecting guards, searching for our next target - one of Beckett's personal assassin's, Neban the Silent, who keeps charge of the Navy and East India forces on Padres with an invisible, iron fist. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-13-33.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-15-41.jpg With the soot covering our bodies and the coal shaking in our boots, we decided to head out in to the jungles to take a quick dip in the water - of course, we were quick in purging the waters of any beasts preying on our crew. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-19-46.jpg But as we cleansed the waters, and ourselves, I caught word of terrible news - Jolly Roger, the devil of the Caribbean, was raising forces at Las Pulgas in a desperate attempt to catch us off guard! Luckily the pirates still had it in them - and with a little extra kick, we stormed the back beach, our eyes on Jolly Roger's most decorated general, Darkhart! http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-23-02.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-23-43.jpg It was at this point that victory was just within our reach, with all remaining Navy forces who hadn't been slaughtered or surrendered retreating back to Fort Charles on Port Royal. But, we had to keep a low profile - our attack on the Navy had to be quick, vicious, and a surprise! So, for a change, the masses of pirates were told to pile themselves on to just a small group of ships, disguised as merchant vessels, to help us reach Port Royal without alerting the guards. And with the masses of ready pirates aboard my ship, it was a great opportunity to take a moment and speak with all the mates I'd been fighting alongside. In fact, some of them in their chatter said I should be given the title of Game Master, though I found it trivial at the most - after all, not only would this be impossible, but the only title I desire, as I said, was the rank of Captain amongst my fellow pirates. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-31-08.jpg The final assault was about to begin, which would decide the fate of all of us pirates. The army of brethren bravely gathered outside the doors of Fort Charles, where they received a final pep talk before charging on the fort. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-33-52.jpg http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...5_22-34-16.jpg And low and behold, all of our fighting had not gone to waste - in only a few minutes the fort had been surrendered to the pirates, flying the Jolly Roger high on the staff! That was even more epic than the Scoundrels Battle! WOOT! Great Job, Del! I think all of those Navy blokes in the Fort were scared of me firey red skin! xD I stood out like a neon sign. :D

Looks like it was a pretty epic event. :) Sorry I couldn't make it.
Oh, and I noticed one of my long lost mates... Misty Moonlight. Met her at Abassa Darkhart, and noticed that she was also kind of called Misty. :) She was very nice. Unfortunately I was never her friend... I have a question for you, Del. How many friend requests did you get during the event? |
