Oh No is POTCO Down?
 

i got dc form the game and cant get back in, and the potco homepage says internet explorer can not be found

No, POTCO is still up. It let me on the game instead of giving me the swirly red circle, so it must just be their site. ^^

ok.. i was walking/running down port roayl beaches when my guy froze then the screen went black the i got the internet dc message so i try to log back in but where it says retriving version info it stops and the page closes plus the potco website does not work

I think I'd restart your computer, and if that doesn't work go for the uninstall/reboot/reinstall strategy. Never came across something like that before.

i randomly disconnect and then it wont validate the game version any suggestions?

yep i was playing and couldn't kill anything then the server kicked me so it's down, doubt it's a update though

POTCO won't start
 

Boring lame tech problem..

When I open POTCO, I get the box that says "Retrieving version Info". It goes nowhere, until after about 10 seconds, when it disappears. If it matters at all, it doesn't pop up as a tab on my desktop bar.


(and this just started happening in the past hour, and yes I restarted my computer)

Any help is appreciated.

This is happening to me right now. I tried everything I could so I think it's just Disney's server or something. I'm trying to get on the site to reinstall it but its dead.

Yes, they are closed for maintenance.
Here is another message I got that really tells me it most likely may not be an update, but the chance is still 50/50.
Above the Game News thing it says "We are sorry! Pirates of The Caribbean Online is currently unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working quickly to resolve the problem. Please try again soon. Thank you for your patience!"
And guess what? I didn't even try to log in yet. So there's either something BIG that is wrong, or it may be the update. But if it was an update it would say that POTCO is going to be down for maintenance on the Home Page or the Game News on the log-in window. Also, that message is on the Home Page at the top too. Big problem, lol. It is no update, updates they aren't that hyped about....
