Problems With Sailing

It always says an error has occurred and the program needs to close when I try to sail in the sea. In the VERY FIRST part of the game too.

Just started playing it yesterday -_-

Anyone know what to do? Already tried re-installing it and such...:sadmh9:

Thanks.

So someone else is having the same problem as me huh? I also just started, and having troubles sailing, as you could probably see from the thread I made. >_> If we have the same video cards, I'm going to be upset. I can play games like Half-Life 2 on high, no slow down, but can't play this -_-;; It's kind of saddening. Well, hopefully the people here can help us. Here's wishing the best for the both of us

Aye. You might want to update your drivers to see if that helps. In my case, however, just the opposite occurred.

Though I didn't have any graphic issues with the game (aside from being unable to see in Beckett's Quarry), I nevertheless decided to update my graphic card drivers three days ago. Suddenly, I began crashing whenever I tried to go to sea!

Figuring that the new drivers were the culprit, I used System Restore in XP to return my PC to its previous, un-updated state. I have not had a problem since.

I have a ATI Radeon HD 2400 Series AGP graphics card.

So is that bad? >.<

I've got an ATI Radion Graphics Card on my Vista computer, I am also having crashes.
I'd call Disney's Tech Support and see if you need a better graphics card, OR you can look at the minimium requirements to play page. Also, try running your game quality/game graphics on LOW. Not medium nor high, LOW.

Also, when did you get your computer? Just wondering, that can determine whether your graphics card is OLDER or OLD.
Good luck.

i have no idea where to find my graphics card on my computer to update. Help. I'm soooo tired of crashing. Sooooo tired.

Caleb Killagin 01-21-2008 02:38 AM

You buy a new card at BestBuy or CircuitCity or anywhere they sell them.
You cant download one off line, pssh.

quill_fire 01-21-2008 02:55 AM

I know that...and I can't just buy one...I have a laptop. I meant to update the thing...like the software.

Beautiful_Misery 01-21-2008 04:41 AM

If you want to see your graphics card right click my computer, click properties (or hold windows key, and press pause/break), click hardware, click device manager, under display adapters category, your video card will list there.

But I looked up this issue and a lot of people are having the same problem. Some guy even got through to the live chat and they said it was a problem with the GAME not the computer.

I'll just have to wait it out until they fix it -_-

Got the computer two years ago btw.

quill_fire 01-21-2008 05:30 AM

at least it's not my computer...because i did some research too...and gateway has to issue updates for everything for me...i can't get it from the orginal manufacture. :( evil gateway.
