UK Member accounts - Petition
 

Dear all POTC players from the UK

This a petition to try and 'speed-up' the process of allowing UK residents to have member accounts.

If you would like to be on the petition, please leave your first and last name, followed by your sign in name (and/or) character name.

Hopefuly this will help Disney to realise how much extra $CASH$ they are missing out on lol

Yeah strange. I'm from Belgium and play POTCO since 3th of november '07 as a member. How come you UK residents arent able to be a member?

Hi guys, in fact we have e-mailed POTC online about this and they said they are not able to handle post codes from the U.K yet and they said they would inform us IF and when they will be able to, so they may not be thinking about doinf it at all so would be nice if we had some support from everybody because god damn we really wanna play it lol!

I signed up with an Australian address and it worked fine.

Disney is supposed to release an official UK version of the game in early 2008, according to the Sunday Times newspaper.

The website for the UK version is already up, but it doesn't mention a release date, as far as I could see:

Yeah pretty much the rest of Europe can have member accounts, but not the UK. Like mole_man_king said, we emailed them and they had no idea as to WHEN and IF they were going to allow UK post-codes.

thats lame Uk is the closest thing in Europe to the US

I Already have an account as I just entered any old rubish for the state etc but it would be nice to have an official account.

I hate to say it but Disney will probably just carry on ignoring any petition anyway and I suspect that them not comming to the uk has more to do with all the legal and tax rubbish that they would have to deal with.

at least when I joined up there were no other options than US so I would have a slight suspicion that those non US people probably did the same as me and filled out what they could and just entered rubbish for the rest.

I WOULD RATHER HAVE A US ACCOUNT!

look at toon town, the UK pays the same price in pounds as US pay in dollars! this means we pay DOUBLE what they do.

I currently pay £5.15 including exchange fees for POTC and would bet that this will double when it comes out in the UK

haha indeed they are, hence the reason I thought they would have pushed to get UK accounts. I mean as we have already found on this thread people from the rest of Europe and even Australia are allowed member accounts. Whether or not they lied on their subscription forms... i dont know!

I did think about making up any old rubbish to try and get a myself member account, but when money and a contract is involved I thought it would best be avoided lol

As for this thread being used as a petition... well... I dont think anyone is willing to put down their details and what you said was true, I seriously doubt Disney will even take any notice. Its now become more of a place for people ponder upon the reasons for no UK member accounts...

... and for people from other countries to BRAG about having a member account lol
