Fully mastered, FINALLY!

Phew!

Elisa, has finally mastered each weapon, and sailing and cannons. I was excited to reach level 40, but mastering each weapon was the goal I have always been most interested in reaching after completing the quests.

A HUGE thanks to The Circle for allowing Elisa to master sailing and cannons with them. I dont know that any of them read or post here, but have to say that they are an AWESOME, fun, friendly, helpful group of people. Couldn't have done it without them.

After my 2 former guildmates (Three Pints Down) and I completed the quests, they left the game to play another, and Elisa was left to master weapons alone (and, for the most part, did). I used Kingshead (before the update) to level everything to level 20 with the exception of the pistol.

The pistol was the first weapon I mastered, and I trained it in the graveyard area of El Sudoron until around level 20, then swithced to the back beach of padre for larger enemies and the convenience of restocking ammo. I then used the same beach area to master grenades (thankfully before the update!).

Trying to get the harder to level weapons out of the way first, I next mastered the sword and dagger on the stumps and the undead in between them in El Sudoron.

I had saved the staff and doll for last. I spent 2 days in the Catacombs of Padre Del Fuego leveling staff before the update. Then, feeling as if I was cheating somehow, I stood on the cliff above the stump in El Sudoron (where he was out of reach enough to do much damage) and mastered the staff using only the first skill (can't remember the name of it offhand), because that was the only skill that would reach besides wither which did too much damage to level efficiently). Finally, with the help of a friend who was training grenades (Thank you!! I was REALLY hoping you'd master before me, though :( ), I mastered the doll and reached level 40 in the process.

I only had sailing and cannons left. Most days I had spent only a couple of hours in the morning leveling Elisa's weapons, but as I neared the end, the last couple of days I spent a good bit of time in the game mastering cannons and then sailing.

Elisa will probably be put away for good as I play my second character, Lola. I plan on mastering each of her weapons as well, in preparation for expansions, but not nearly as quickly.

Congrats!
Im close to mastering a few things.. sailing and my doll...
I so wish they would change the system so you could switch your locks on the different things in each weapon. Looking back I might have locked different skill points.
Im going to be more careful with the remaining skill points I will be getting on my weapons and sailing/cannons.

Good job again!

I wish there were some way to change the skill points, too. My sailing and cannon skills are ok, though there are a couple on the cannons I would change (I dont even know how the second skill point on the basic cannon firing skill got there!), but I have some points on other weapons I would really like to put in other places, now.

Even after learning on 2 characters (one on test and one on open) I still have made a couple of "mistakes" placing skills on a third character.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone for the congrats!
