What do you LIKE about the game?

I feel like, lately, the only thing Ive done here is complain, but it's not really that I am unhappy with the game. I actually quite enjoy it and play at every opportunity, still. Anybody familiar with customer relations can tell you that people are more vocal when they're unhappy with a product than they are when they are satisfied or happy with the same product. Most of us aren't really complainers, although it may seem that way after reading some our posts.

I think there are probably more people here, like me, who have complained more about the game than praising it, but really do like the game in general. So, what I want to do is give us a specific place and opportunity to voice what we LIKE, whether it's always been part of the game or whether its a change they've made since it started.

Some of the things I LIKE about this game that keep me coming back...

I love sailing! I think Disney has done a good job with that whole aspect of the game. There seem to be a few bugs they're still working out with it, but, overall, its just too fun, especially with big crews.

I think the graphics are great. Some of the layout is a little redundant, but the settings are gorgeous, especially at "night."

I like that they have made the game more difficult and encouraged more team play. I know I compained about the staff being of little use now (without healers), but I'm glad the game isnt as easy to "sail" through as it used to be. Having to work more with a team will help bring the game to a new level among other popular MMO's.

I'm really glad I've been here to see the game from the start. I can't wait to see how big it gets in two or three years, what they'll add and change, and what new adventures expansions will bring.

What do you like?

I like how you have to have to time your attacks to do the combos. It's a step above just button mashing or just pressing auto-attacks and watching.

I also like the leveling system with an overall level and levels for each combat proficiency.

They did a good job on the sailing and I love the graphics overall once you turn them all on.

The main thing that keeps me coming back is the people I play with. Now that some of them have cut back on some of their play, I have also. It's fun to enjoy good guild chat as you're leveling.

I do like that the game is a bit more difficult with the low levels hurting you now, but I've gotten so spoiled or lazy that it irks me. lol If that makes sense at all :p

I also like the leveling system. I'm always up for reaching a goal :)

I agree that the sea battles have been pretty fun and pretty different from any online game that I've seen.

I like that I can hop on for a short time (30 minutes or so) and actually make a little bit of progress in the game. With some MMOs, you really have to be on for at least a couple hours to get anything done.

I like the fact that it's simple enough for my grade-school-age son to play too, and that I don't have to worry about him being exposed to a lot of inappropriate language and/or behavior.

i love the game theres much to do and just consider this they just released the game 2 months ago O_o it will take a while for another expansion

and i have come of with a new syndrone(sp??)
Level 40 Syndrone - once a player hits lvl 40 they begin to find the game boring and old

I like everything about the game. Sailing is very cool!. There is nothing to complain about this game. I cannot wait for the Black Pearl quest to come back so I can finally finish it (99% dang!). hehe :)

The main thing I like about the game is the great amount of teamwork present within the game. At every turn, someone is helping another either for a quest or just for skills. The game always keeps you busy with the quests. Some are quests are a bit monotonous but will keep you busy nonetheless. :)

It makes perfect sense to me! :)

I think it has a lot to do with the goals we had set (consciosuly or unconsciously), prior to the unexpected update, that all of a sudden we were unable to achieve within the anticipated time frame. Other than that, I'm glad the game is more difficult now, too.

Some people who have reached 40 might have begun to find it boring, but I know I haven't. As Rose mentioned, one of the main things that keeps us coming back are our friends and guildmates. I still have a couple of weapons to master and have another character midway through the game who I aslo plan on taking to 40. But, if not for the friends I've made in the game, Im sure I wouldnt even have cared to take the first one to 40. Not because I don't like the game, but because I like people! Which brings me to one more thing I like about this game...

I like that there is very little opportunity for one person to spoil the fun of others. In Toon Town, once you started a task, and got shut in that building or factory or mint, you were at the mercy of the players with you. It often took quite a bit of time to get a group together to complete a task, and then one person could ruin the fun of everyone in the group for however long it took you to complete it.

Here (if the problem is a player on your ship), you can dock your boat, take them off your friends list, and the problem is solved almost immediately.

Additionaly most items you need for a quest (or targets to level weapons on) can be found in a variety of locations with minimal effort. So, if a random player is somehow annoying you, (which rarely occurs anyway), you can easily leave, and go get what you're looking for somewhere else. Or, you can just switch servers and go back to the same location (since no one server has an advantage over the others, as Nutty River did in Toon Town).
