About Our Guild

The Widow Makers were formed on November 20, 2007 by Jane O'Malley and Johnny. Soon, Rose Redbones was added and the guild was built upon this awesome trio of plundering warriors and pirating skills of partnership! The three decided this would be the mission of our guild. To become the best guild by helping each other become stronger. To help our lower-level guild members climb the noteriety ladder. Mark Gunshot joined the guild soon after, becoming one of the most helpful of the guild - Level 40 and always playing to help others.

Our noteriety levels vary from Level 9 to Level 40. Most of us are stuck waiting for Disney to fix the last 1% of the Black Pearl Quest: The Boss. We've been waiting a long time.... over at 3 months.

Our members range in age as much as our noteriety levels - a lot of us are adults, some are teens, some are kids, and there are fathers and sons, husbands and wives, and families playing together.

We've found, when you team up and help each other with quests, you level up much faster than completing quests alone. We also learn a lot from each other too... so that helps us build a stronger game both for the guild and for the individual player.

We have officers in the guild, who are promoted once they show they help others regularly and have great attitudes to others. If any officer feels that someone is behaving inappropriately, they need to come to the Guildmaster and explain why and what the person is doing before removing that player from the guild.

And, most importantly, we have fun! That's the whole point anyway, right?!

Bug in Game Affecting Guild

Hey everyone - I've learned that a bunch of people were removed from the guild yesterday evening. Not sure what happened, but I put in a bug report to the developers. In the meantime, if you happen to have lost your membership to the guild, FEAR NOT!, just find an officer to add you back in.

I would love to join, the guild sounds GREAT. Expecially ranking #2 in MOST SUNK SHIPS! I love to sink ships, and you guys ROCK at it. Still waiting for Disney to fix the Vista Ship Bug but, until they do I have to play on my mom's computer which I dont have access to as much as I would my Vista laptop. But I can still join, right?
What are some rules and requirements?

So, how does one join the Widowmakers?

Jcmz 01-07-2008 11:09 PM

All you have to do is PM Jane and tell her what and where you will be online, and one of the officers will gladly put you on the guild.

Elquinjena 01-09-2008 03:11 PM

just wondering

when do most of you play? I am on west coast time and still searching for others who play in the evenings on PST

Jane_Omalley 01-10-2008 10:34 PM

We play a lot

A lot of us seem to be on the East Coast - but that doesn't stop us from playing pretty late out here. You're likely to have at least 3 guild members on with you at a time... usually, when I play between 6 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. EDT, there's around 15 (at least) members playing too. We're all pretty addicted to this game!

Hello Jane, :piratebo5:

I'm interested in finding a casual guild for my two teenage daughters and myself to join. We've played ToonTown together off and on for about 4 years and are just starting to play PotC. I tend to have more time right now to play than they do, but want to make sure to join a guild that is family friendly.

Please let me know how to contact you if you're still inviting new members.

Thanks,
--Richard

You are MISSED! :)
