Sometimes when I play the game, after playing for a while all these random colors start flashing so I can't even see the game. Can anyone help me?

Anyone have an idea of whats wrong?

Looking at your picture there, it might be a problem with your video card.

The first thing to try would be to make sure your video card drivers are up to date. Find out who made your card and what kind it is (Common manufacturers are ATI, nVidia, and Intel), go to their site and find the latest driver package for your card and install it. See if that fixes your problem.

If it doesn't, you might try lowering your game settings. (If they aren't already at their lowest.)

If none of that works, it's possible that your card isn't powerful enough for the game. You might need to replace it. If you're not sure if this is the case, you might try posting what video card you have. Someone here might be able to tell you if it can handle Pirates.

yea POTCO requires a more up-to-date video card and if your computer does not meet that requirement you might hit some issues later on in the game

How do I find out what video card type I have? I don't know much about computers lol

click on 'start' type in ' DXDIAG ' then presss enter when it loads just click on the display tab and it will show your graphics card and the first tab will show you r dx version.

The game hints also tells you, "If you have been playing longer than 2 hours, perhaps you should take a break."

I believe this also helps to relieve your pagefile, clear out any memory leaks, and cleans out the video card memory buffer when you quit the game. I also have a low end graphic card (by choice, I use it to test games on the low-end settings) and notice the same problems if I have been playing longer than 4 hours. I just quit out of the game, reboot the computer and re-enter the game. Everything is ok for another 4 hours.

Hope this helps for you.

Also, make sure you write a bug report and send those screenshots. It may help the Devs solve the problems! I would post the link for the bug reporting site but I have already been warned about posting links. -*(

Actually, I think that's more so that they can say that they warned you if you get repetitive motion strain or have some other problem from playing the game too long. ;) The reason you gave is good too.
