Stingy Rewards from Ships

Is it just me or are the cargoes bringing in less and less loot?

I just sank a few mid - high lvl ships, brought in 6 cargo and got 63 gold! Back in Beta I was bringing in a good haul on high lvls, especially with Skeleton ships, but it seems unless you hit it just right, the rewards are cheap. Even with full cargo, I'm only getting 100 - 200 gold on "good" cargo.

I have that treasure tracker skill also, which seemed to work better when I first got it than it does now. Sheesh it's going to be a pain in the butt for the newer people to ever get a decent ship if the payouts continue to drop. :pirate7:

I've noticed that too... it's not just you...

It seems that I have been recieving less Royal Chests and more Cargo crates than I ever previously was. My gold income also is never as high as it used to be.

I think they changed it a little bit without letting us know.

i seen it too

yes,.. i agree,.. much less.
I spend much time taking Phantoms, War Lords, Man O Wars,. and other large vessels ,.. been getting little back.
Perhaps some programmers for the game will see this thread :-)

I've noticed this too. I remember going out, then getting a lot, then now, like half as much...

We sunk a level 45 juggernaut last night for 1 cargo crate. :?:

We sailed for several hours last night, sinking jugs, harbingers, colossus, etc., and the average haul was only around 250 to 300 in gold (sometimes less, sometimes more) with treasure sense maxed. Only once out of probably 20 runs did we have a really nice haul like you used to could get every 3 or 4 times out.

yes i have noticed this and it makes me mad because im trying to earn enough to get a war frig

I for one, have not really noticed this as much as you have. I have learned that you must sink some smaller ships such as Phantoms and Ironwalls, and then go for the glory of sinking the Storm Reapers a few times and you will get plenty of Royal Chests to make you rich. Good luck.

Funny... went back out last night, same place, sinking the same ships and had a completely different experience. One haul we got royal after royal after royal (10 total). I thought I'd found the end of a rainbow. The captains share in that run totaled 1,617 in gold.

The only thing different was the server as our usual ocean was crowded with people yesterday.

Its apparently pretty random, but I still think they've reduced the odds of finding the better treasures. Im OK with that, its just always a little difficult to adjust to a change after you've grown accustom to something different (for me anyway).

I usually sail solo in my Sloop and take down medium levelled ships. If I stay that course, I usually dock with about 200 gold in booty...maybe 2 royal treasure chests (6 total slots for cargo hold). That usually takes about 20 minutes.

Granted, I am not trying to get a War-anything ship. I enjoy being a mid-level pirate...a right First Mate. I will leave all that macho-posturing, chest-pounding, more-hair-on-yer-back-than-on-yer-head strutting to the Wanna-be Cappys out there.

Besides, First Mates are tasked to loading, unloading, and watching the Rum. Aye...I will quite happy being <hic> the bleeding First Mate <hic>!

Get Treasure sense.

It varies but I usually rake in 200-600 per haul.
