Cutlass Thrust Missing Constantly!!!
 

I unlocked the Thrust Skill on my cutlass and now I have 2 skill points on it, but it never ever hits. I can get it to work. It really looks sharp in action and the one (1) time that I got it to work, it did massive damage. But alas and alack, it always ALWAYS misses. Does everyone else's miss like that? I have no problem with any of the other cutlass skills but that one. Could anyone give me a hint as to why it misses all the time. I repeat, I get it to work but it always misses. Any helps or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Mine seems to hit only when I'm lined up EXACTLY face to face with the enemy, and even then it's not consistent.

I had exactly the same problem when i unlocked it. It made me mad that it missed all the time. Then i started to try out all possible hits on the control key and from one moment to another it started hitting and now i hardly ever miss.

Hard to explain but i'll try.
First ctrl hit for hack, hack almost done ctrl for slash follow by ctrl for cleave then hit ctrl again for flourish and make sure you dont hit ctrl before slashing is done (just dont do anything let it slash) and when your arm goes left for finishing it, tap ctrl once more and it should make a nice thrust.

I always just tap ctrl at the very end of every move and once you get the rhythm you'll never lose it again.

I hit everytime

For me it's like Thenelly said. It has everything to do with the timing of your hits. If I dont click for the skill right before it, but click right when that skill ends, I hit everytime.

It took me a bit to figure this out. Even if I was facing the enemy straight on, I still couldn't get it to work.
