Sinking flag ships?
 

Last night, I attacked a Lvl 21 Navy flag ship, but it sunk when it's health reached 0 without giving me the option of grappling/boarding.

Next, I turned around and attacked a Lvl 12 flag ship. This time, I got the "green circles" and the grapple message, but after grappling it sunk before I could board it.

Has this happened to anyone else?:mikec:

Yes everytime I use firebrand in battle with a flagship it will sink even if I grapple it. Did you or one of your crew use firebrand or lightningstrike perhaps?

Oh, I bet you're right. My trusty first-mate was raining fire upon the redcoats!

hi one more thing i realized was.
after takin down the enemies ship and boarding it, the screen either blacks out, or the pirate is stuck on the enemies ship, with my own ship not in sight. and no way of getting out.
i asked the people around me, a couple of them had the same bug. so i wanna know if any of you had the same thing. =)

oh and i mean when i was playin in the beta today

yes, I can't use firebrand on flagged ships, you gotta use round shots, until they fix it. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

I don't think it's a bug that they're going to fix.

Firebrands catch the enemy ship on fire and make it sink faster, and if it's burning, you can't board it. I think that's the way it's supposed to be.
