Chance of Rollbacks?
 

Well, i had a "runtime error" and crashed. I clicked the launcher again, and saw the red letters: Pirates online is facing network issues outside of our control.


Just like the time we had all those rollbacks. I'm worried we may have some more.

Honestly, if they do, it's really gonna suck, cuz I leveled up a LOT recently, as I got my new game card like a week ago. I also logged on for a minute and it said I had basic access again. Tried going to live chat, I logged in, proxy error. Great.

i'm worried mostly Because:

1. I just mastered Staff and Grenades. (all my weapons on Hector Cannonbane are mastered)
2. Lots of people would not and can't use/handle rollback.

As in, they may of mastered, joined a guild, made a guild, etc.

Now the status message on the launcher has a proxy error. Pirates is pretty screw up right now, man.

The basic access thing is just a side effect of the problems, it has happened to me a couple times. I hope there is no rollback either, but if there is, I think it will only be reset to Wednesday, because that was when the maintenance happened, and last time there was problems, it was because a maintenance check... but another rollback would stink, especially if it gets reset farther than that. (I got a Famed weapon, and on my lower pirate mastered fishing, and leveled up potions many times.)

Thanks for posting, Cannonbane...I was in-game earlier with no problems other than some lag (but when is that not an issue?) but I'm a little scared to log in now that I see other people are having so many problems! =P

The site is having some Proxy Errors right now.

I'm afraid to loot for this very reason.

I don't think so. It seems as if there is just a connection problem between pirates and their account standing, and the boards are registering data which wasn't the case last time.

Don't mention the R word! I would be supremely angry if there were rollbacks. I got the Gorilla Cutlass a few hours ago and 2 rare cursed swords. Any chance a screenshot would suffice as proof for them to add it back if there were rollbacks?

Network issues only have to do with client to server connections, not so much the game itself. The chances of there being a rollback now, let alone ever again, are on the slim side.

Aye, ye can do that. Just email them the screenshots and they should get them back to you. For me, I would be sending in 14 screenshots. -_- But I don't care if there is a reset, I am getting tired of the weapons I have now (except for me assassin's knives).
