Glitch Filled Day
 
So there seems to be alot of problems with POTCO and me now.

First I tried launching the game from the launcher (not from the internet browser itself). I got the Bad Account Id or Pass message. This wasnt a huge surprise since I knew the launcher was going to be shut down.

Before today, like a few weeks ago, I started using the browser to play the game (to get used to it when they take the launcher away. Today, after finding the launcher closed, I went to the site. I tried playing but after a few seconds on the "Checking for updates" page I got a message saying Panda3D has expired etc. Anybody else have this problem? I never had it before, I have used the browser to play.

sounds like bad luck mostly and they will NOT remove the launcher its the #1 way of logging in... browser if for those who cant use launcher.

same thing happend to me this morning with the launcher, i hope its just a bug and will be fixed soon, i am not looking forward to using browser....

I just logged in to open server through the launcher, had no issues. There was an update.

However, I could not log in to test. I had the same problem that you mentioned above. I tried going to the test site also, and got "bad proxy server." Dont know what is going on, but looks like it could be a bug.

I'm having the same issue with Test. It tells me "there was a problem Verifying the Account ID."

Its True, Disney no longer supports the launcher... soon they will drop it all together. I will see if I can find the E-Mail.

hmm if that is true something is wrong with disney I see no reason to drop the launcher it is perfect and is my main way of getting on lol

Well I never even heard of them talk about the launcher now. I think the launcher is just recommended for XP users. We are all switching to Windows 7 and the newer Mac OS, so it mostly laucnher. Maybe redownload the game Solo and maybe that COULD help.

The Pirates Online desktop launcher was previously available as part of the online download for Pirates Online. Now that Pirates Online can be played directly from your internet browser, the desktop launcher is no longer available.

For the time being, guests will still be able to access Pirates Online from the launcher if they have downloaded it previously and have not deleted it. that is pointless the launcher is the best way to get into game ive had so much more lag on browser i could not play. browser is only for those of us who can not use the launcher. I hope they think this through or a ton of angry players will send e-mails until they put it back. hmm i sense a rant from me

Im in again. It seemed to have been a little bug. It only seemed a bit laggy when I got online.

This stinks. I've used the launcher since I started playing. I tried playing on the browser once, and I didn't like it. At all. I don't know why, but for some reason it was just not the same. I really do not want to switch to the browser, because I have always used the launcher and it is one of the last things that has lasted since the beginning of the game. Seems like they are just not allowing people to download it anymore though, but if they disable it, then I will send a few angry emails. Whats that about updates not forwarding to the launcher? Does that mean that if you use the launcher, you won't get the newest updates? /sigh. I guess its time to move on in that case. I'll be sticking with the launcher for as long as I can....

I feel ya Davy :) the launcher has been my friend since basic times which was old islands and that started a little after the game itself launched so I'm a veteran potco player I guess
