The Old Me
 

Wow... this is pretty cool. I was digging through my computer looking for some lost documents, and I ended up stumbling upon some of my really, REALLY old screenshots. I decided to just post one screenshot that I found, the oldest that I have. It looks like its from August 22nd, 2008 (This is LONG before I became the Davy you know today. Shadow Sorcerors wouldn't exist for another 11 months). Its not much, but I just wanted to post this.

Those, by the way, aren't my starting clothes. That's just what I wore ALL THE TIME back in the day. Shop vest, that hat (whatever its called), some baggy pants, and some brown boots.

Also, notice that the weapon rep bar is blue instead of orange, without the bars. Also, enemies show up in the chat box, and that the text looks slightly different. Also, the crew list is different too. It shows the weapon the person is using (although I remember that being pretty glitched up).

Anyway, I just found that and thought I would share. That's the old me! Yes... I had a horrible taste in fashion... and yes, I'm only a level 31 haha (this was back when 40 was the cap).

Lol, nice. Very nice taste in clothes you got there. I think I have one screenshot of me in all orange clothes. xD

Yes, I remember when I started playing I took everything in game so seriously. I look back at the game now, after I sold very rare items of clothing for about 1,000 gold... and I thin why was I so dumb?

I had forgotten the crew list showed the weapon being used...wish they still had that, always thought it was kind of neat. I remember those days, back when killing one of those stumps was a HUGE accomplishment to me. Memories. =)

Wait, howcome you have a level 14 staff at 31???

Nice picture, I still remember when the enemies dialogue was in the chat, and when the blue-gray bar was still around.

I'm pretty sure they too away enemy dialogue from chat when they added the ability to click on a name in that box and bring up the profile... wouldn't it be a bit funny though if you could send an Undead Gypsy a guild invite?

And here's another screenshot I found. I think it happened to be Pi Day of 2009. That by the way, was the outfit I almost always wore up until Inventory Expansion.

I love this! Brings back memories of Dog's noob days... this is around the time I started out so it looks very familiar! there are some old things I wish they would've left alone... I remember when I started the weapon options where a rusty cutlass iron cutlass steal cutlass and at level 20 the pirate blade which used to be more powerful... I kinda liked it that way... the one newer feature I like is the revive thing... if you read my blog about O'fury.. you'll see thats why O'fury exists.. because a small dude revived Doggy =D

Haha, those were the days. @.@ That simplicity is something that's irreplaceable; I don't know how we have such a bond to it, but regardless, old screenshots are always cool. :) Nice screenshots, Davy.

Lol, go find them Guy! I like how in the chat box it says the seas are turning green because Legend says a large sea creature is heading into the Caribbean waters.

Ah yes, that was back in the day when I believed in the Kraken. I remember going on my ship with a friend and taking off my shirt, showing off a tattoo I had of The Kraken eating a ship. I thought it might attract it. Ahh, good times... good, nooby times. :D

This reminds me of some of my nooby moments.

Me and my bud Jhon would run around a Giant Crab with our voodoo dolls for about 10 minutes just trying to defeat the darn thing.

Another friend of mine, named John, took me sailing and was baffled that I had no clue what an Ogre was, and I marveled at it as it sank.

First time I stumbled across Tormenta, I thought the Flotsams in the first little cave when you enter were some sort of US Army guys on patrol.

And I miss swimming to the back beaches of Padres....

I think I knew a Jhon... long, long ago... I wonder if it was the same guy.

MAN! i remember the times like this! i miss the old times SO much it makes me sad :( if i were to do anything, i would time travel back from 7th to 4th grade to become a founder. But i was too days late. Instead i bought toontown! WOULD A RIP!
