Infamy - gained by strength of opponent not size.
I think privateering infamy gain is somewhat unfair. From the release notes, you gain infamy based on ship size. But ship size doesn't really determine how strong that ship is. In privateering, the weakest are often galleon and frigate class ships (which award the most infamy) while sloop class ships are strongest (but reward least infamy). The amount of infamy should be gained based on a ship's bounty/score which tells you how hard that ship is to defeat. Otherwise, players gain more infamy from sinking easy ships, and less sinking hard ships.

Whoops... Just found out I have a huge spelling mistake.. lol I said :the weakest are often galleon and frigate class ships (which award the "most" infamy) while sloop class ships are strongest (but reward "MOST" infamy). lol Sorry for any confusion lol meant to say sloop class reward least infamy.

That's a good point. I haven't tried out much of infamy but that does sound a bit unfair. I know there is a group of 3 mastered pirates with crazy fury skills in a light sloop with 85,000 points. Craziness. Send that into Disney.
