I think my e-mail has been hacked

Not the e-mail for POF or game, but my main one. I keep getting "password" recovery e-mails for WOW and another game...RIFT. the WOW site wont load when I click the link because my anti-virus classifies it as dangerous and wont let me go there. Now I am getting stuff saying "your account has been investigated for illegal activity" and I am like??? ummm idk what this is..

Its an AOL account... I plan on abandoning it after I get all my websites to new e-mails.

Any ideas??

Will be back later today, bye.

Change the password?

It could be someone just putting your e-mail into WoW, so you get spammed...

Change the password, and don't read any e-mail you get on that particular account from anyone that you don't trust.

When you successfully get your new e-mail, I strongly advise you to use a password that is really complicated. Ex. 6yH&-5* I know that would be hard to remember, but if you use something like that then it would take other people years to get into your e-mail. Btw the example I gave is not my actual password if any of you were wondering.

I used to have a wow account and never fully closed it so am getting the same things in my email. Dont click on the link in the email. Could be a spam operation to get you to go to a false website that looks offical but it aint just to get your email and password. I heard of this happening a few times and a few people tried that with me to get my paypal details. Piece of advice? If you ever get emails like that dont click the link just in case. Open a new tab and go to the website directly and see for your self if its only a scam or really a lagite message.

That policy saved my paypal on mroe than one occasion as well as my ebay :pirate6:

Everything seems to be fine now, I haven't gotten anymore of those e-mails...and if I do I mark it as spam then delete it.

I got hacked on my World of Warcraft account once. And after that i get like 50 junk WoW emails a week. I just got a different email.
