Okay, I'm clueless about dolls
I just got my doll and I have absolutely no idea how to use it. Here are my main questions..
1. What does it mean when it asks me if I want to 'attune'? 2 What's the difference if I use it on an enemy or another user? 3. How do I actually use it to damage others? Yours- a clueless pirate |
Okay
1. Attune is basically a fancy word for "Target". To Target an enemy (or fellow pirate) simply walk up to the enemy and press your "attack" button, whether that be your left mouse button or the control button. Basically you just want to jab the enemy with your doll until their name and amount of health shows up in the box where it says attune (and the top of your screen) 2. The first levels you just learn normal enemy attacks. You cannot attack another player unless in a pvp. But you can heal other players when you get to level 4 I believe and you unlock the option to heal. You cannot health yourself, just other pirates around you, by attuning them. 3. You have attacks like "Poke" and "Swarm" they cause damage to an enemy just like a cutlass would, only once you attune them, you can put a distance inbetween them and you. So you can run up, attune someone and then run a fair distance away to avoid being attacked by them. BUT if you run too far, you will lose attunement. Hope this helps :) |
1. To attune the doll means that you select who you are going to target with it. To target you have to run close enough to an enemy or a friend and click on them or press ctrl to attune them to your doll.
2. You can only use the attack voodoo on enemies and heal voodoo on friends. So you don't have to worry about accidentally healing up enemies or hurting your friends. 3. Once you have it attuned to a target you use the spells you have learnt to hurt others. If you look at the bottom of your screen you will see "Poke" which is the first voodoo spell. Press 1 or click the icon to use it on the enemy you have attuned. It's going to take several pokes and it has to recharge in between to kill an enemy but with voodoo you don't have to stay really close to the enemy but can keep a bit of a distance from him. Edited to add: Or what Allure said (takes way to long to type a post lol.) |
