Extreme Graphics Glitch...
 
Ok so this color glitch has been happening on my second account for a while now. I have never seen it before. And yes, I have seen some pretty weird graphics glitches, but this tops them all for me. I have no idea how to fix it. I have changed the graphics settings several times, and restarted the game. It happens on all pirates on that account, but not on my other account. So now I ask you, any of you know how to fix this? Or have ever seen it before?

Happened to me last year. Don't know how it was fixed I just logged in on Christmas day and it was gone.
So don't know if it fixed its self or I did something accidentally that fixed it :(. Wish I could be of more help.
Have you tried reinstalling the game?

That is by far the coolest graphics glitch I have ever seen. Aye, try reinstalling the game as Tobias said. If that doesn't work, maybe try Live Chat. Also, see if the glitch is the same on another computer.

It's happening to me too. Try reinstalling the game as this is probably caused by the textures not loading correctly.

I would say reinstall (cuz I'm original like that).

Ok, I'll try that then, but I use the website to launch the game. So uninstalling might not be that helpful.

You should still be able to uninstall somewhere. perhaps you could try downloading it to your desktop and play the game like that.

It's not like I don't know how to uninstall it. I just uninstalled it, and I had the icon on my desktop anyways. I never used it because it makes the game screen small, even when it is in full-screen, hard to explain kinda. But I am pretty sure there used to be an easy link to installing the game though...

Why would you want to fix that? It looks so cool, like everything is made from poster board!

All you need to do is delete your cache folder and then restart the game. It is located right next to your screenshot folder (if you use the desktop launcher).

Disney just posted these instructions on the Release Notes page:

Known Issues - May 23, 2011

If you experience islands that are all white, missing graphics or are unable to enter or dock on Kingshead, please follow the below insturctions:


Workaround: For Browser Mode


1. Make sure the game is close.
2. Press the Windows + R Keys
3. Copy and paster the following command into the 'Run' Window:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Panda3D\start\pirates
4. Delete the 'cache' folder
5. Launch Pirates Online again


Workaround: For Launcher Mode


1. Make sure the game is close.
2. Press the Windows + R Keys
3. Copy and paster the following command into the 'Run' Window:
%ProgramFiles%\Disney\Disney Online\PiratesOnline
4. Delete the 'cache' folder
5. Launch Pirates Online again
