How to recruit in the Caribbean
I decided to let ye know all newly promoted officers or veterans of different ways to get some new members in the guild from across te Caribbean. Here are a bunch of rules an officer always needs to remember when guilding wherever he is. In this thread ye mates will also be able to share with us how ye guild and what are yer best experiences while doing so.
1- Always be grateful and friendly with the potential future members of the guild. 2- Never intimidate or harass a mate who doesn't want to join us. Let him simply go or ask him a reason why. 3- Be respectful with other pirates at all times. Ye are an officer and it is yer job to apply the rules so do it inside and outside the guild, especially when recruiting cause we want those nice mates to join. 4- Try to evict recruiting mates that could be inactive in a short while. We already have way too many inactives so try to just be sure that the mates are devoted, respetful, that they know how to use the guild chat and that they won't get inactive in a week or a couple months later. 5- If there's another guilding officer from another guild on the beach with ye, do not provoke him because he does so too. Everybody has the right to guild on the beaches. Let him be as well as he will let ye be. If he doesn't let ye be, then explain the situation to Davy, me or Billy, or as well the Senior Officers. Now according to that, ye may have success guilding for yer favorite guild, while respecting the code! Before ye start to do so, here are some tips about successful ways ye can use to get mates in the guild. 1- This is not my favorite way but it works too, when ye have some luck. Just go to Tortuga on a top server of the list (Abassa, Andaba). There is always some people who don't have a guild. 2- My favorite, a public plunder! Besides making lots of gold, ye may also recruit while doing a plunder. For this, ye just have to go in an ideal server (not Abassa, as there are too many public ships), the best is Andoso. Just wait for some mates to arrive, greet them on the ship and take care of yer guests for the ride. The better yer plunder is, the better yer guilding will be at the end of the voyage. At the end, just tell that yer plunder was granted by yer guild (with the name of course) and say that if some want to join, they just have to tell ye, or ye can either ask some if they could want to. 3- During an invasion. Its not the best way but it can work too. Just go on an island where there's an invasion, fight alongside yer squad and ask some if they want to join yer guild for more group invasions like this last ye did. These are probably the best tips I could give ye for this. Feel free to add yer own ways of guilding and share them with us in this thread. Good luck to all of ye officers and veterans and fair winds! |
Aye, listen to Sam. He really knows what he's saying. That public plunder method is by far the most effective way to gain new members, and I know that several of our veterans and officers use that method if they want to recruit. It also yields (from my experience) members that tend to be a bit more loyal than ones just sitting around Tortuga Dock (not that those people aren't good, just saying that people who have gotten to know you may be more inclined to join and stay). Very good tactics, thank you for making this Spammy. :D

Yeah doesnt apply anymore really but it can still be useful for other mates. Not only Sorcerers log on our guild forum.

Aye, because of the changes we've made, I'm going to close and archive this thread.
Thank you though Sam, for taking the time to make this. |
