what to do..
 

I did the whole black pearl quest til the final battle ( not complete ) 100% solo so I can not complete it with a level 6 cannon.

I have plenty of cash from 2 nights of grinding.. but I am seriously bored. I have been playing a week or so and am very new to this, but not to mmorpgs.. I have my totems to all but kingshead ( level restriction )



what else is there to do besides aimlessly grind?

Get a crew and do the battle

right, but after the battle, are there more quests to complete? something else unlocks?

just curious before I decide if I want to go grind my cannon skill up

Are you sure you can't complete the battle? It might take a little longer, but I bet you could do it. People have been using different methods for taking down the Goliath. Some have used ramming speed, some have wedged thereself at an angle between the front of the Goliath and the land next to it and then used their left broadside, and some found a vulnerability in the gun holes on the ship and used their cannons to sink it. Or, like somebody else mentioned, ask a friend or two to TP to you and do it as a crew.

If you still would rather wait to do it for some reason, there are several things I can suggest to do for fun, instead...

1.) Get a few people together and make up a fleet of ships and at least one gunner per ship to go sink a few Juggernauts and other big ships (Make sure each Captain is "crewed" so they can talk to and strategize with each other while sailing. The gunners can also "crew" if they want, but there probably wont be enough room on the list to put captains and gunners all in one crew). Yes, this can be done with only one ship, but fleets are fun. :)

2.) When you level up another couple of levels (28 or 29), go out to Kingshead and level weapons on the group of 6 soldiers in the middle of the field. It's a quick way to level (especially the grenades and staff) and earn gold, as well as being more fun than leveling against one enemy at a time.

3.) When you reach level 30, the staff will unlock, and you can do the quests for it and level it as well.

4.) Go stand in the swamp in Cuba and help new players kill the flytraps they need, or go to the thieves den and help those who need the grunts in the fort, or help people in Fort Charles or Kingshead.

5.) Play poker.

No, there arent any additional quests right now after the quests for staff, but still plenty to keep you entertained for a while. My current goal (in addition to leveling weapons) is to buy the other 2 war ships that I dont yet have, and then the better cutlass, dagger, doll, pistol, and staff. Doing any of those things listed above helps earn gold for those things.
