PotCO for the UK is coming soon
UK players, your day is coming! According to London's Sunday Times, Disney is planning to release a British version of Pirates of the Caribbean Online "early next year".

It would be strange having the British go against the Navy.....
|
I would love to play redcoats, more so than pirates. Mainly for the reason that they have rifles! =P They better not limit redcoats to UK players only.
|
They'd better remove the word "bloody". In England, that is worse than our f-word.
|
Hehe awesome :)

Nah, the POTC films were just rated '12', this was because there was 'mild horror' and violence, among other things (This could vary in films 2+3 as I only looked at the back of the first film as it was on my desk anyways >_<).
(Bloody, I suppose, is just a mild expletive in Britian, not particularily offensive or shocking.) Jeena xxXxx |
Yarrr maybe we UK users will get access to the Musket like the cadets/guards use
I heard that weapon being discussed a while ago.... And you can clearly see it in the gun smith's shops. Maybe.... |
Bloody isnt more rude than the f- word because i live in the uk, and still play the american version. Im hoping the american version and uk version they will have us and uk servers coz i dont want to play my account on american servers for the rest of my life on my account :( :xundecided: :xsad:

Will the UK players play on the same server as the US players?
If so, I'm pretty happy about that even though I'm not from the UK. I'm looking forward to the lands and seas of the Pirates world being more crowded. It's nice having more people to talk to and ask for help. :) |
Why?
I personally don't understand why a special version for the UK is needed. There are already UK players playing the same game as us and have no problem with it. Why must there be segregation? I know that people in the UK do speak slightly different but when it comes down to it we speak the same basic language so that can't be it. I could understand if they were going to do a special version in spanish, german, or french or something. I definitely do not mind playing with players from any other country as long as they speak english. Unless there is a major language difference I want everyone to play the same game.

If any UK people are switching over when it comes out, could you post the general differences if any? It would be really interesting to see why Disney felt a whole other version was needed.
