Which ship do you capture Captain Montrose (again) from?
 

This was a little tricky and I actually went out and had to experiment with the different ships. It's not just *any* EITC Frig, to my disappointment :(

You actually need to capture him from an EITC Light Frigate Flagship. (Found off of Padres..I think, if it's not padres then float towards kingshead. There is a light galleon/light frig relatively near each other in that area).

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to fight the EITC soldiers on my own, but I was like level 24 and my weapons were around level 10 or so. And most of them were grey to me and I had one green ranked. So it went a lot easier than I had anticipated.

My quest was completed by simply sinking a regular non-flagship eitc light frigate. It doesn't have to be boardable.

I captured Captain Montrose from a regular, non-flagship EITC frigate (the Marauder, I think it's called). I tried the light frigate (Corvette) flagged and non-flagged, with no success.

Based on the other posts, seems like it's random as to which type of frigate he's on. Just don't get frustrated if you don't get him from the first frigate you sink. He's out there!

I just found Montrose on a Marauder also. I tried a few corvettes with no luck, the first Marauder I took down I found him!!

ITA. I got him off the first Corvette I sunk.

But the quest description itself is very confusing.

Task: capture captain Montrose from an EITC Frigate.
Description: capture captain Montrose (again) aboard his Navy ship.

Since when is en EITC Frigate a Navy ship? Or is there something i'm missing? :bird-vi:

I completed the whole black pearl chapter without having to board any ships to capture quest people.

I picked up Montrose off a Navy Centurion. I had to sink about 3 to get him, but there was no EITC inolved.
