PirateAhoy's Advice Column

You can see my Advice column in the PotCO Report every month. Here's where I will post some advice once a week. The advice with the most good feedback will be submitted to Jack Ironmalley and appear in the PotCO Report with his permission.

This week's advice:

Don't try to sink Jolly Roger ships without a large crew and a high sailing level! Trust me, I've had lots of experience with them, and they pack a punch without some high level pirates going after them with Thunderbolt and Firebrand shots. Gather a 4-5 pirate crew and launch either a Mid-Size Frigate or Galleon (War works fine too ;)) and set out to sink it. Let your cannoneers fire from a distance, which will make the ship sail slowly towards you, not firing until it's right next to your ship.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Give thanks for all we have been given, including PotCO and POF! :tg20:

Permisson shermission, if it's good it can go in. You don't need me permission, I only need yours. ^^

Oh and one more thing to prevent a flame war between us later on. I sorta told silver beard I'd let him do a monthly tip thing before I saw this, so I'll try and work something out so that he can do something else for it.

And like PirateAhoy said, give thanks guys!
PS: Give the turkeys a break, look how happy the guys are right now! :tg21:

Ok Jack. Don't worry, I don't do any flaming unless it's firebranding a ship ;)

Righto then mate, I'm going to allow him to do it, but it'll differ from yours. Yours will end up like a mini guide, like the one above, and his will be 3-4 one sentence tips.

Oh, and even though you're not technically part of the crew, I have you listed as one and would appreciate it if you'd download the file containing your job description and rules. I know that you're doing this voluntarily, which is why there won't be tallies counted against you, but I still ask that you try to follow these guidelines to make it easier on me to put it in the file. Thanks!

(You are doing this voluntarily, aren't you? You're not thinking that I'm making you do this, cause I'm not. I appreciate you doing it though!)

I'm just doing it for the good of PotCO. I think your Report is a good thing for POF and PotCO, so I am voluntarily doing it. Will the report come out weekly or monthly?

Jack I 11-18-2007 09:59 PM

monthly, though I may do special editions from time to time. I assumed you were doing it voluntarily too. ~.^ I know I said before that I'd like you to download that file, but if you haven't yet, don't bother. All I ask is that your courteous in the post (you said you would ^^) and try to PM me the best one a week before the 15th of the month. ^^
