Got my War Frigate
I feel so accomplished. Haven't seen many in Open yet. =D

I'm saving for a War Sloop. I'm in no rush to get a big ship, I only have forever to play this game you know.

I don't have all that long...I was just signing up for one month so my time is limited.

I named it the Gunwale Despoiler.
There's no rush but I mean it's a nice feeling to have the best ship I can get early on, so that I can focus on other things, like the story quests and getting weapon skills up, rather than raising money. Plundering is more fun when it's not towards a goal -- just for the heck of it. Money came in a few different ways, the most prominent being Poker at Padres Del Fuego. Just be careful there, though. Bad things can happen to your money quickly. =) Best of luck to those trying to get one! |
Congratulations, that's quite an achievement. I haven't seen many War Frigates about actually. :)

I have seen a war frigate on the water. Those things can use my light sloop as the dinghy!

Congrats It is no small task for sure and you have to earn those last credits up to 60k. Cant trade in a ship and be over 60k (for those who don't know, 60k is max credits you can earn and you stop earning reps if at 60k). Myself and one of me best mates Isabella Melania both have one and we simply run over ferrets and vipers. Like swatting flies

What does everyone think is the best ship though? I know the War Frigate is the most expensive (and leads me to think the disney guys think it's best) but the War Galleon has larger cargo hold and better broadsides.
I guess if you sail with a crew, you will need a War Frigate (front guns ftw!) and if you sail alone a War Galleon will suffice? |
Must agree...I have owned every single model of ship in the game.
Went thru them one by one. And sold most of them to try the next one up. In the end, I have two ships. War Galleon - by far the best ship. Most broadsides, quicker and more agile than the Frigate and more cargo hold. Lacks a small amount of Hull/Strength but that is easily compensated for. and War Sloop - hated the first two sloops, but have to admit this thing is fun. Quick and extremely nimble. Hard to hit, quick to score and sink, easy to maneouver on deck. And the "War" version has that extra Hull strength that makes it work! War Frigate was a big, expensive, lumbering waste of time and money. (sorry) I recommend a player choose: a. Sloop to start b. Galleon as soon as possible c. Light Galleon asap d. War Galleon asasap (and add a War Sloop for extra fun!) |
