Do you think that Infamy should hit live right now?

Warning: testers only please!

Do you think that Infamy could be released right now? :forum smiley parrot I (and a lot of other non-testers, i'm sure) would like to know if infamy is ready to hit live. what do you guys think? oh and what about the new ships? are they ready? thanks!

Captain Del 02-23-2011 05:36 PM

In my opinion, the recent on-goings on the Live server are still too fresh of wounds to even think about releasing Infamy yet. We need to make it unarguably sure that the servers are completely stable and prepared, so I'd say one, maybe two weeks would be a better idea than now.

New ships are not on test, so there is no way of knowing whether or not they are ready. They will need AT LEAST a week of testing, probably a few more.

As for Infamy, even if Infamy itself is bug free, I want to make sure that the live servers are ready to handle it, as we all know that the live servers are buggy, as Del brought up. Definitely not now. We need at least another week of them in test, just to get rid of those last few bugs.

I think infamy is probably still a little buggy right now. Maybe a few days before it might be ready.

I agree Davy, I think the new ships at least need a few weeks on test before they are ready for live.

***The ships are not even a release on Test yet***

In my honest opinion, I think Infamy should remain on Test for a little while, just to make sure nothing goes wrong.

SEAKING23 02-24-2011 12:33 AM

How much longer is a "little" while?"

Captain Sharktooth 02-24-2011 12:55 AM

As long as Infamy comes.... I don't care when it get released, as long as it is this year lol. I would prefer that it wait a little longer, maybe two-three weeks or so, just because of the whole server crash stuff. I would like everything to be normal again when a big update hits live, especially since there is a chance that the update itself might cause a bug.

Couldn't have said this better myself.

Remember all the bugs that occurred when Raven's Cove first came out? Yeah... I don't want a repeat of that...

Roger Sharkshot 02-26-2011 12:43 AM

Yeah agree with with Del its still a bit buggy and the live servers can't handle it right now and besides we dont want a big reset again do we

leo 02-27-2011 03:51 AM

I would like infamy to hit live. Is now the time? Ii don't think so because bugs exist both on test and live and i agree with all who say that the quality of the update means more than the time it comes to live.

Ps: I said yes because you asked something that will eventually happen in the future without a specific time as "yes - now in the present" ... lol

James 02-27-2011 06:33 AM

I would tend to say not. People on test are already the max svs rank. I think they should fix that... add in a system by which you receive more infamy for sinking more infamous people, ending streaks, and less for sinking the same people multiple times.

combatlizzy 02-27-2011 03:46 PM

Don't think it is ready for live, yet. And like it was already mentioned-there have been many problems with live recently. POTCO needs to get grounded before any additions, IMHO

leo 02-27-2011 09:51 PM

Yeah, i noticed as well that some reached rank 7 (Admiral) in test. I know that svs is no where near as intense as in live and if players were able to get final rank in test in a couple weeks that it will be way to easy on live. They need to increase the points to gain ranks and make it more challenging. Live nor test are ready for this.

Captain Jason 03-02-2011 01:33 AM

Instead of that Leo, I think it would be better if they decreased the amount of points you get for sinking a ship in SvS.

Aye that works too...
