Already Online.

So earlier, during the infamous "invasion crash" at 2:30 CST, I... well, crashed. But apparently, I didn't crash completely. I tried logging onto my account, and instead of a big button that says "Play," I see this:

http://i769.photobucket.com/albums/x...17-45-11-1.jpg

I can still create two pirates and log onto my other pirate, but not my main because she's still online in Kokojillo limbo. Live Chat said that Pirates is just encountering a few errors, and I'll be able to log onto her shortly. ...And they said that a few hours ago. Can't they just boot me/her off of the game? Or is there any way I can crash her? >.>

Edited per request.

Hmmm that is weird. 0_o I've never seen that happen before.... So I would be no help.

Cannonfury 02-21-2011 04:09 AM

You should remove this photo or at least crop it so your ACCOUNT name is not shown....makes it too easy for a bad person to hack your account..

Tiberius Fireskull 02-21-2011 06:17 AM

I've never seen it say the "Already Online" thing. I always thought that if you logged on, and you were already logged in, it just crashed both people. Thats pretty odd. If there is another reset, I will be furious.

Hmm... that's very interesting.

Wonder if this means we will be able to play more than 1 pirates from the same account at the same time again...

Kyle, I am sorry to tell you that you are still logged in to the game. Try to contact D in some way. They will be able to disconnect you.

EDIT: I have no idea what the heck the "invasion crash" is, but I cannot teleport to you. I push the button and nothing happens. What if someone else tried to log into your account?

pieisbetter2 02-21-2011 06:40 AM

If someone else logs into your account, then it logs you off, no matter what pirate you're on.

And like the others above me say, try contacting Big D, they can disconnect you some how :P

Also, by "invasion crash" I mean that at around 2:30 PM CST, right when an invasion started, a lot of people got disconnected (see this thread). You weren't online at the time.

Well, on a spare account of mine that I use for crew rep, it said TheWaffles (my D-Name) is offline. But in the guild member list, it said Alice was online. I tried logging onto my Pixie to see if that would boot her off, and it didn't. :/

POTCO is officially really, really screwed up. I have no idea what they did that made the game like this, but whatever it is, it needs to be fixed ASAP, and hopefully they won't need to resort to resets, because I'm not sure the majority of the POTCO population can take another reset. Especially with that invasion crash you mentioned. Question about that... were people that crashed on different servers? Because sometimes a server goes down momentarily, but if it is across different servers, thats a whole other problem entirely.

CaptainMonkeys 02-21-2011 02:14 PM

Bad news, mate. Alice is still logged on this morning.

Ofury/ Tom 02-21-2011 03:02 PM

Disney sometimes does maintence on certain accounts maybe yours was one selected. They have the ability to log onto any account when they need to. They;ve been on mine before to fix a player friend problem they could be working on your as well.

Cannonfury 02-21-2011 03:37 PM

I have seen the online thing before...except it was when there were linked accounts and I actually was on another pirate already in another window.

Captain Del 02-21-2011 04:54 PM

This has happened to me before, don't worry.

This usually occurs when the server is suddenly "bumped," i.e. some people get bounced off the server, while others don't. In my experience, I was doing an invasion when I was hit with a major lag attack, and then a swift, sudden crash. While I made my way back to logging in, my friends (whom I was in a chatroom with) told me that despite me being offline, my pirate was still sitting on the beach, online. Fortunately, it fixed itself as I logged in.

I really would suggest that you contact Disney, to see if they can deactivate, then reactivate your account (essentially, shut it down, and bring it back with no damage done.)

Depending on your situation, you might also be able to crash yourself. For example, if your pirate was just sitting around on a beach, lifeless, you could get a few friends to go over and get her killed via the staff aura glitch (But that is the ONLY time you should ever do it!), and then do the same while she's in jail, crashing her. That'll either set her back, or seriously wack up Alice. But hey, that's life :buds:

Disconnect your computer from your network while playing a different pirate you will get Dced close pirates and relaunch then your pirates SHOULD be playable

Roger Sharkshot 02-21-2011 08:40 PM

go for the staff aura disconnect
