Last Part Of Greer's Quest

Alrighty..after what seems like a year running back and forth to this guy, I finally got the last part of Greer's quest. Deafeat 8 lv 12+'s in Murkey Hallows...oh boy.

Maybe I spent too much time just "running errands" and not leveling up my weapons, but I don't think I'm ready to do this one alone. None of my weapons are over level 9. (I, at this point, am a 15)

So, gang, do I find someone to run with, or spend some time getting better "ammo"?

Opinions?

Thanks!

both. level up cutlass and pistol, especially pistol. when done, get someone to go with.

i know because of the undead brigands in there when you want to learn how to teleport to port royal. the brigands in there are about lvl 15 or higher, while all the undeads around them are usually lvl 10 or lower. however, after u attack the brigand, they all attack u, as one big pirate family. that's why i suggest leveling up pistol the most, because that's the first hit you're gunna get on these skeletons. good luck!

I will pass on the advice some friends gave me. There are actually 3 separate groups of skeletons in Murky Hollow. The first and the last group will attack you all at once if you engage any of them, but the middle group (the group nearest the spooky giant green guy) will only engage you one on one. My advice would be to level up pistol so you can aim and attack from afar, then pick them off one at a time, waiting for your health to recharge after each one. Also, finding a friendly player with a voodoo doll and the heal spell to accompany you and heal you throughout helps tremendously. Good luck.

Thanks! But, see, I really dont' like the pistol...My keyboard-mouse coordination just seems to be off using it. I'm darn good at the cutlas, and can pack a mean voodoo doll hit, but that gun...well, let's just say it ain't my favorite. Maybe I'm using the wrong keys...

Perhaps one of you tester folk can start up a "how to really use your weapons guide" Any hints on the right keys and or mouse strokes to use would be very helpful. :)

In the mean time, I think I'll work up my Voodoo a bit more, and try to get my sword up too. Heck, it's not a race...I can spend a few days just leveling up weapons.

Then, I'm going to make a new Pirate, and start her off right...LOL. Like they say about kids and pancakes "the first one always gets messed up" heehee.

I had to spend a couple of days leveling up for this one.
I suggest you mainly just level up your cutlass. Or any other weapon you choose.
And when you get to the hollows, take out your pistol and stand at shooting distance. Or you can use some throwing daggers. Knock off the weak ones, and shoot the brigands to get their attention. Then switch over to the cutlass and work your way through. Obviously, if you have some others with you it'll be easier.

But that's just a suggestion. :)
