Hopeful news if you complete Back Pearl Quest!
Not.
I recently completed it 100%, and began the "boss battle" against the War Frigate Goliath. However... not only when you steered the ship did it jump all over the place, but half the time I ended up in the open seas. I couldn't really do jack. Looks like they didn't plan on anyone getting this far..... ooooops. When you get here you will see what I mean. But don't hold your breath. Let's hope they actually fix something for once. |
hows the pearl look in game? any screen shots? i'd really like to see it
|
LOL that's not the point.
Great, you can drive it, but it takes 20 minutes to get to the end of the mission. And then, you can't even hit the damn Goliath, so you have to abandon the mission. Pathetic. Would post pics, but cant since this forum doesnt allow it..... It seems the POTC game/forums are really really bugged and not worth the hassle. |
i thought the screen shots rule was only during the beta?
|
weird...I haven't got that far yet so i wouldn't know. i am sbout 15% complete with it.

I have finished boss battle in beta and to sink the Goliath i used ramming speed.
Took 7 rams to bring her down. Another player use cannon until she found one spot that caused damage to the Goliath and kept firing there unti it sank. After we finish the boss battle we got some quests from Jack sparrow again this time to get the Headstone(?) but the quest ended in Valentina in Padres Delfuego. I believe Disney is not ready yet with the Headstone quest. So in Open i don't want to finish quests too quickly because i know they're not ready with the second quest and i prefer to raise my skill levels than raising my notoriety or finishing quests. |
lol I used ramming speed and went right through her into the open sea....
Which spot did you ram lol Damn this is getting ridiculous now! |
Congrats on getting that far, and I look forward to the day that you will get patience and report the quest as a glitch.
|
Been there, done that, several times now but alas, no reply and no fix!
Thank Disney for the time they took to repair this whole boss battle... I can look forward to more pre-set replies I'm sure (to my bug reports.) |

Give Disney credit for all the work they've done so far. With graphics like this, there's bound to be glitches. Why can't we all be thankful?

I completed the black pearl quest in beta. I just completed it as well on open. It is still bugged, if not more, in open than it was in beta. I did what I did in beta, destroyed every bridge and looked for a sweet spot on the Goliath to sink it. So, nothing has been fixed.
My gunner quest is still bugged on my test pirate as well as my open pirate, both showing the 5 out of 6 done stuff but yet completed. I do not see any difference in the game since release compared to beta besides some pretty graphics. I am at level 27 right now. My test pirate is at level 32 and still no voodoo staff quest. So, I assume if I hit level 30 on open I will see no voodoo staff just based on how I run into every bug that I had on beta. I am sure the devs are doing their best, but this game was really not ready to go live. Now that I am paying, I expect content and fixes unlike that I received during beta testing. |

Like you, my Gunner quests are still showing up in my journal, too. Sorry to hear the Goliath/Pearl battle is still buggy. There are sill a lot of bugs in the game. When I was working the quests for Ewan, every time I went to see him he said the same thing (which is what Sparrow had said before he sent me to him). Thankfully my journal gave me the correct information. Hopefully they'll get some of these things worked out soon. |
Good to see they fixed the voodoo staff quest. I assume they fixed it for those reaching the level and not those that have passed it. Same thing with the gunner quest on open. I know someone who is not bugged but yet my test and open still has it.
Maybe I am just bugged. Still, thanks for your input. Good info. |
I'm sure there are plenty of disappointments and bugs, but I've played quite a few online games at start-up, and believe it or not, this went a lot smoother than most. No matter how much testing is done, that first time the switch is turned on for the entire world to see, bad things happen :pirate7:
