WOW I just saw that video. Honestly I am really, really excited for this! This will be so cool! Haha, I can't wait...

Machazzard 01-21-2011 04:21 AM

Looks pretty awesome! I just hope that that isn't all they're going to be adding for PvP! I've been dying for new maps/servers just to fight my fellow pirates on!

Tiberius Fireskull 01-21-2011 04:23 AM

Interesting... I still don't understand it all, but it looks like it will be really interesting for PvPers and SvSers.

pieisbetter2 01-21-2011 04:25 AM

Ok, I've gotta admit, I'm not much of an SvSer or PvPer, but this just might change my mind!

ruisen2000 01-21-2011 05:03 AM

wait.. but how?? it's not even on test yet!!!!

Stephen O'Malley 01-21-2011 05:09 AM

Guess I can start getting aggressive with the PVP again.. buahahaha.

PiratesOnline released a "sneak peak" for everyone to see, so the update should be coming soon. Also, this is their info tab:

Quote:

Here's some early work on the upcoming PvP Infamy system for both Land PvP and Privateering. We're still working out some kinks (like badge coloring) and bug fixes (fixing PvP exploits) but we're really looking forward to getting PvP back into the shape it rightly deserves to be in. Continue checking www.PiratesOnline.com after the Feats of Strength Competition for an even more detailed announcement. Until then ... enjoy the sneek peek. We hope to have more of these in the future.

According to the video you get them for killing regular enemies as well, so I don't think you have to do SVS or PVP.

Ropeburn 01-21-2011 03:01 PM

yeeeeeeee! now people can see how fightful they shall be!

I watched the video and saw nothing about killing regular enemies...Ship Privateering Infamy would be SVS and Land Combat Infamy is PVP...it would be nice if they did include any NPC enemies defeated...

Captain Celtics 01-21-2011 04:08 PM

My bad. I thought that one of the PVP parts was a guy and a bandit, lol.

SEAKING23 01-21-2011 05:13 PM

Wow... this could go great with my arrest warrant idea to! fear me navy!!!

Eliza Creststeel 01-21-2011 06:49 PM

So, basically... kick PvP or SvS butt - become infamous then brag about it on your name plate.

LIKE THIS won't get abused.

Joshua Coalskull 01-21-2011 08:44 PM

I fear there will be boosting. As in I get a friend to make a low level pirate, we PvP a 1,000 times, or till I get Max Infamy.
Then he delet Pirate, I do same for him. Thats the only downside to this.
