eek, it's Ali-Rae
and I just joined this fansite AND the actual game.
I haven't gotten on the game yet because it takes forever to load, but so far everything (including the forums) are so confusing! >_<
Any tips on getting started?

Get in there and start! Most of the game is explained as you go. And when you get stuck, ask questions here. :)
Oh and find a player in the game who'd be willing to show you the ropes.

Totally agree with this. It's too confusing/overwhelming if you try and figure out how play ahead of time, which I know doesn't make sense but it's true! When I started reading about how to play I was sooooo confused. So I just stared exploring and pressing buttons and talking to people and slowly things started to make sense. There's still a lot of things that I'm still not quiet sure about, but when I come to those things in the game I then do a search on this forum and things start adding up.

People play the game differently. Some like to sail and plunder, sail and plunder, sail and plunder :) Others follow the storyline quests that's laid out for you, which is what I do. Either way, the most fun is when you join a guild and make friends to play the game with. I was pretty much a solo player until I joined Bad to the Bones Guild (former Motley Crew) and have seen a whole different aspect to the game.

I got sent to jail for a rock crab killing me @_@ what do I do after I get out?

You just keep on playing :) You'll be groggy for awhile and won't have full health, but it wears off. lol Just make sure you only go after enemies that are gray, green, and possibly yellow. Stay away from the red until you have experience or you'll most likely get sent to jail ;)

I've probably been to jail...oh, maybe hundreds of times. It's no big deal. (In POTC that is! LOL)
Get up, kick yourself out the door and get back to the quest at hand.
