Lack of epic battles in POTCO..

Well i've noticed that the only place you an get epic battles are in invasions. So i was thinking we need a system that allows enemy's to bunch up on you and your crew, and more loot, rep and fun.

For skeletons, i was think they should have a telepathic system. when one sees you, he automatically sends a signal to some of his undead friends, and they come running at you. the size of there group should depend on how many people are in your group and how high level you are.

For the navy, i was thinking when one sees you, they would shout to the next person, who would shout to the next guy, and run over to you. then that guy would shout to his friend, who would shout to his friend... you get the idea. Again, the size of the group would depend on how high level and how big your crew is.

The eitc is a bit different. When one guy sees you, he would shout to his friend, who would shout the another guy out of view on your compass. Then, a 5 elite assassins would spawn there. there level would depend on the size of your group. if your crew could easily take them, then 5 would spawn on another edge of your compass. It would be just like the EITC to send a few elites to to to flank out and kill you and your crew.

Oh and everyone enemy would attack you once they saw you, after they shouted to there friend/telepathic signaled them.

What do you guys think?

That would be inconvenient to people leveling. For example, if you were to do that to a guy leveling in Fort Charles with a friend, you'd get the entire Fort on your back and then you would die. This might work for certain instances, but not for everyday leveling and looting.

Well thats where the factor comes in that the group depends on the size of your crew. If you went to FC and you where level 20 and your friend was level 10, maybe you'd have a hired gun, grunt, and two vet earns on your tail.

Tiberius Fireskull 01-12-2011 01:09 AM

Can a level twenty actually TAKE DOWN a hired gun, grunt, and two vets? Not unless they are using a world eater...

SEAKING23 01-12-2011 01:18 AM

Maybe thats to hard... but you get the idea. maybe to veterans would be even.

As for the everyday leveling/looting, well, this would help both.

So what do you guys think? should P0TCO add this?

CarribeanThunder 01-12-2011 02:37 AM

The "telepathic" thing was once a case, in a way. In old days of POTCO, if you engaged one enemy, other enemies that were close to that enemy would engage as well. This was most noteable with the Kingshead Marching group. I think it would be cool to return this.

It could work, with some editing. But if you are just plain leveling, it might be inconvienent. Maybe it could give better loot? It wouldf be cool to see how Disney could play around with this, because it could be a good idea.

SEAKING23 01-12-2011 02:47 AM

It would give better loot, becuase you kill more people in a shorter amount of time. It would also destroy the noob problem of level 5's going into high level places, becuase most of the time they can just run right past them.

As for the leveling, maybe only some NPC's could do this? it would be marked right under there name. they could be called captains.

Tiberius Fireskull 01-12-2011 02:51 AM

I think it would be best if it was only for certain enemies. It would be inconvenient if all enemies did this.

SEAKING23 01-12-2011 03:37 AM

Like what? i was think only level 15+, to give noobs a break.

Tiberius Fireskull 01-12-2011 05:45 AM

No. It would be a special class of enemy. Sort of like boss, but it could be a Captain, like you said.

It would also be more fun it the guns dont auto aim at the enemy if it is close enough, and also you can shoot different parts of the enemy, with the head doing the most damage. It would test your shooting skills. It would also be fun to be able to avoid grenades by running away (the enemies would do the same too sometimes, to make it more challanging). The same would be for knives, and also that they have limited range, even for enemies. Kinda strange when the enemy is so far that you have to shoot it with a musket, only to have it be able to throw knives at you from the same distance.

Yeah i agree with ruins. oh and daggers/bullets go straight through buildings.

Now the only problem is to get Disney to add this!
